Getting a second EAD/AP card for 2 years is something I haven't seen before.

But I know you are following a different procedure than others; the EB-5 program.

Hello its been awhile i have been here, I got my green card with a mistake on my last name and i applied for a replacement the second day through e filling but i did not send the actual card in, I went to the houston local office some months later and was advised to reapply with a paper filling and to send in the card that has the erroe back to Uscis which i did, after so many trouble trying to get in touch with an officer to be able to expedite the processing they sent me a letter today requesting for the original card which I have already mailed to Uscis. I dont know what to do next and I have the tracking number for the delivery of the card to Uscis.

Someone should advise me

Hi all, I am not sure if I should post this here, so please remove it if so. I'll be changing my last name soon to my husband's last name. My conditional green card anniversary is in 9-months. Do I have to change my current green card even though I will soon be filing to remove the conditions?

 

Any help is appreciated and thank you!

August 2013: Returns to the US (went back to the UK to finish my undergraduate in 2012) and starts master's degree program
December 2014: Get married to my now husband after being together for 6 years :)

02/23/15: AOS returned because they couldn't find my I-485 check ... bloody ********

Hello everyone most of us are approaching to 2 year anniversary of our conditional green card. I am planning to start my paper work soon to get the conditions removed. Is there anyone who is in the same stage I think we can only file for it with in 90 days from expiration so I do have around 3 months to get to that threshold.

 

Leo, how is everything with you?

 

Did the changes bother you guys.....are we getting affected at all?

08/16/2015...............Email alert that Card was mailed to me it was Sunday evening.

08/18/2015...............I received my green card in mail exactly 4 weeks from the approval date

Hi Vink,

 

Despite we were one of first to file in February, wife was one of last to get her 2 year Green Card.

We can file for her on 22 July 2017 which is the 90 days early route.

Big worry for us is the interpretation by some DMVs that the one year extension letter applies to one year from date on letter, rather than one year from expiration of the 2 year Green Card.

This will put her without drivers license for 3 months or more, and she has a full time job.

 

I checked the list of our Feb filers, and no one is showing as from one of the 7 affected countries.  However, some never did report to us their home country.

 

We are planning to go ahead and start process for wife's citizenship which we can do next December.  That will be 2 months after her 2 year Green Card expires and 3 years after our marriage.  Filing for citizenship is supposed to speed up the process toward 10 year Green Card . . . or so it seems I remember reading here.  I will have to start reviewing that entire process and relevant postings next Fall or so.

July 22, 2017  ROC packet sent to Vermont.

July 24, 2017  ROC packet signed for in Vermont.

August 8, 2017  NOA received at house.  15 days since ROC signed for in VSC.

August 12, 2017 ASC appointment received. 19 days since ROC in VSC.

August 25, 2017 BIO completed. 32 days since ROC received in VSC.

August 11, 2018  18 month 'Courtesy Copy' extension letter received.  Critical number  297

October 20, 2018 18 month 'Official' extension letter received.  Critical number 297

December 4, 2018  USCIS Account shows: We approved your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, 

December 4, 2018, ordered your new card for Receipt # EAC17297003XX, and will mail to the address you gave.

491 days from NOA issued by VSC until Petition approved.

December 7, 2018 USCIS sent notice:  Card mailed.

December 12, 2018 Ten year Green Card received from Lees Summit, MO

499 days from NOA issued by VSC until Green Card received.

CITIZENSHIP PROCESS

December 6, 2018 submitted N-400 application on-line.  Estimated Completion Time: 8 months or August 2019.

December 8, 2018 received notice on USCIS that Biometrics scheduled . . . but the actual date was not yet shown.

December 11, 2018 saw in 'Documents' section of USCIS that Bio scheduled for 24 December 2018.

December 21, 2018 saw on USCIS website that they will be closed 24 December 2018 as extra holiday.

January 9, 2019 went for re-scheduled BIO appointment.  33 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

February 19, 2019 received letter in US mail that Citizenship interview scheduled for 26 March 2019. 74 days after submission on-line.

March 26, 2019 Citizenship interview scheduled for.  109 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

March 26, 2019 Passed Citizenship interview.

April 12, 2019  Received notice that Oath Ceremony had been scheduled for 24 April 2019.  17 days after interview.

April 24, 2019  Oath Ceremony completed.  29 days after interview.     139 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

April 25, 2019  USA Passport Application submitted.

May 3, 2019     USA Passport received.    149 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

May 9, 2019     Certificate of Naturalization and Citizenship returned in mail.

Hi Vink. I was planning to file soon but then my husband got the opportunity for a transfer to another state and we are in the process on finding out if he got it or not ...I just don't want to file here in PA and then having to summit whatever change of Address form if we move to FL ...I already got my letter from uscis reminding me to file

Leo, I hope it works for you guys. It seems like you guys had to go through really testing time with the process. I am sure the testing time is over and things will get better. I am positive that your extension and Citizenship process will go very smoothly to make up for this delay in getting the GC.

03/10/2015.................I-485 status updated to Ready for Interview Schedule
04/14/2015.................I-765 card being produced but no update to I-131

04/23/2015.................Got my EAD/AP combo in mail

06/19/2015.................Got the interview notice in mail. Interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2015.................Went for the interview. Didn't get approved right away but got the text and email later on in the day regarding updates to my case status, welcome notice being mailed and AOS approved

08/16/2015...............Email alert that Card was mailed to me it was Sunday evening.

08/18/2015...............I received my green card in mail exactly 4 weeks from the approval date

Hi everyone! I hope you've all been well. I'm planning on (finally) changing my last name to my husband's last name. I was planning on just doing that now since I am filing to get the conditions removed from my conditional green card. Do you guys have any tips on that? Like just mentioning my maiden name and noting the change in last name?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
