April 12, 2019  Received notice that Oath Ceremony had been scheduled for 24 April 2019.  17 days after interview.

April 24, 2019  Oath Ceremony completed.  29 days after interview.     139 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

Hello everyone,


I have a question and appreciate if you guys and answer it for me.


Does the RFE affect the priority date? As you can see in my timeline, I had a RFE last March, replied to it and received a EAD within 75 days. However I wonder if it still affect my priority date (Feb 10). Does it mean my priority date pushed back to March?


It is a 12-month waiting period and I am supposed to received my interview notice by now.

Danni, did you receive it by text notification? I filed Feb 10, 2015 but haven't got anything :(

02/07/2015 - Day 0 - AOS application (I-130 & I-485) sent

02/10/2015 - Day 3 - AOS received in Chicago Lockbox

02/13/2015 - Day 6 - Checks cashed (both forms)

02/13/2015 - Day 6 - Texts and emails notifications

02/20/2015 - Day 13 - NOA1 hard copies (4 forms)

02/23/2015 - Day 16 - Biometrics appointment letter

02/24/2015 - Day 17 - Biometrics walk-in (15 mins)

03/03/2015 - Day 24 - Email notification for RFE (Form I485)

03/10/2015 - Day 31 - RFE sent

03/12/2015 - Day 33 - RFE response received

04/16/2015 - Day 68 - EAD/AP combo card ordered

04/22/2015 - Day 74 - EAD/AP combo card received

i have some update guys/girls

i had a interview on March 1st IO did not ask us alot of question just went over i485 and i answered all of them then i was asked my wife's name d.o.b wife's parents name and where they live. Where was my wife born which city asked the same question to my wife(USC). after that IO said thats all the questions i had for both of you do u have any joint accounts lease bank statements anything? we gave him bank statements, joint tax filed for this year and bills under same name thats about it. after that IO said the medical exam i sent them with the package is expired i will need to get that done i told him i have done one already last month IO said its perfect. IO: thats all i need now i have your complete file i will be reviewing the case again later today if i have time and make a decision. i asked him when will i get a decision he said you will get a letter in mail in 2-4 weeks.

i woke up this morning and checked the status on the case and it says "case approved we will send you the approval notice in the mail".

does it mean my case is approve and done now?

Yes, you are approved and can relax for another 2 years, in case you received conditional green card. Congratulations.

03/24/15 - AOS packet sent via USPS Priority Mail (I-485, I-765 & I-131 w/ approved I-130)

03/26/15 - package delivered according to USPS website

04/01/15 - email notifying the AOS package has been received

04/02/15 - an AOS fee withdrawn from a bank account

04/09/15 - received hard copies of all three NOAs (NOAs dated 04/01/15)

04/28/15 - Biometrics

05/08/15 - online status changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

05/18/15 - online status changed to I-765 approved-wait the card in the mail (no change for I-131) (80 days)

05/19/15 - received EAD/AP in the mail

05/28/15 - online status changed to "As of June 28, case is ready to be scheduled for an interview." This is the second time of such change since 05/08/15.

07/05/15 - online status changed to "As of July 5, case is ready to be scheduled for an interview." How many times are they going to update that status, I wonder?

12/18/15 - still waiting!!! For almost 9 months now (261 days from AOS NOA, 234 days from Biometrics).

01/14/16 - submitted "out-of-normal processing time" inquiry and called USCIS that stated the case is still at NBC and "inquiry" should answer why there is such delay.

01/15/16 - 294 days since the AOS was received by the USCIS; 262 days from the biometrics.

01/28/16 - [day 309] received response to case status inquiry (processed on 01/23/15) - "your case is waiting to be scheduled for interview," so wait another 90 days [sigh].

02/21/16 - [day 332] interview scheduled for 03/24/16 [363 days from the receipt of petition].

02/24/16 - [day 363] AOS interview. Approval on the spot.

Finally had the interview today, went very well. The officer said everything looked good, he'd have one more check over everything and if he doesn't need anything else we'll have the card in 5-6 weeks. Will post a final update when approved!

04/07/2015 (Day 39) - RFE received for I-485
05/13/2015 (Day 75) - EAD approved
05/20/2015 (Day 82) - EAD received
06/29/2015 (Day 122) - RFE response sent
07/01/2015 (Day 124) - RFE response receipt confirmation
