I just receive am update that ead card has been mailed but no tracking number yet.

Here is what you will get next as an email:

On April 15, 2015, the Post Office picked up mail containing your new card for Receipt

Number MSC159059XXXX. We mailed your card to the address you gave us. The tracking number

assigned is #DCN. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools

Tracking section. If you did not receive the card, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request

to request that we resend the card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange

to give us your new mailing address.

But, as a strange procedure, the tracking number really is not #DCN as shown above.

However, once you get this email, then go into your account at the USCIS website and there you will find the actual USPS tracking number.

Still no update on my case urgh...


I wanted to ask if any of you were following the so called soft LUDs on the USCIS website. Mine are all dated from one week after they received my case, except for the i-485 which is dated for 3/10 which is when i got the ready for interview update. Any of you seen more activity than that? Especially anything before getting your EAD?

I'm getting restless (and bored haha) over here.

11/20/12 - Arrive in US under J1 visa (no 2 year HRR)
04/20/13 - We start dating
01/07/15 - We get married <3


02/10/15 - Day 1 - i-485 & i-130 packet received at Chicago Lockbox
02/21/15 - Day 12 - Receive all four NOA1 hard copies
03/02/15 - Day 21 - Received biometrics appointment notice - scheduled for 3/9
03/03/15 - Day 22 - Successfully walked in to have biometrics done
03/10/15 - Day 29 - i-485 status changed to "Ready to be scheduled for an interview".

04/27/15 - Day 75 - i-485 updated to "Testing & Interview" - scheduled for June 1st // Submitted case inquiry for I-765, pending for 75 days

04/28/15 - Day 76 - I-765 & I-131 approved!

05/05/15 - Day 83 - Interview cancelled. What ?!

05/11/15 - Day 89 - Interview scheduled for June 15th..

06/15/15 - Day 124 - Had our interview, now waiting for decision

Hey guys!

Still no update on my case urgh...

Same thing going on here ...the case numbers for the work permit and advance parole say they were updates on 2/20 which is 2 days after they got my package but the i485 says it was updated on 3/30 which is when I received the notification about my case being ready for interview and the date for it which is 4/30

I got the I-797 in mail yesterday that my I-765 and I-131 are approved for a year. Status online still says Case was approved so I am guessing it will be changed to shipped soon.

My field office is Chicago,IL and I am annoyed for not having any updates on my I-485 that has been sitting in ready for interview to be scheduled for more than 6 weeks now. Its ridiculous how much time they need to schedule an interview they should hire more work force to get things done specially when we are paying them almost 1.5K to process the application

02/06/2015.................forms i130, i485, i765, i131 mailed via FedEx
02/09/2015.................forms delivered
02/11/2015.................NOA1 for all forms
02/18/2015.................received I-797 mail with 13th feb as priority date
02/28/2015.................bio apt received for 03/05
03/05/2015.................got done with Biometrics
03/10/2015.................I-485 status updated to Ready for Interview Schedule
04/14/2015.................I-765 card being produced but no update to I-131

04/23/2015.................Got my EAD/AP combo in mail

06/19/2015.................Got the interview notice in mail. Interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2015.................Went for the interview. Didn't get approved right away but got the text and email later on in the day regarding updates to my case status, welcome notice being mailed and AOS approved

08/16/2015...............Email alert that Card was mailed to me it was Sunday evening.

08/18/2015...............I received my green card in mail exactly 4 weeks from the approval date

Vink, there were people who filed before you in February, not to mention people who filed before you in January and before who have heard nothing about interview.

It isn't like USCIS can go out onto street and hire people who can then start processing immigrants.

Our system is overburdened because of so many illegals inside our country, not because someone isn't working hard enough to process your case.

Just got my ead card now ... the postman made me get it on my own and can I go and apply for my ssn now or wait till after I finish my interview tomorrow?

I never said that they need to hire ppl from streets. They need to hire more people to help meet needs of their customers. If you call the office they don't provide you any update.

Also, illegal immigrants should be treated differently then the one who are legal and have been working legally in this country followed the law and paid their taxes. I find it difficult to understand how they keep on changing laws for illegal immigrants but do nothing for the legal migrants. This is Just an example of things not handled in a fair way.

02/09/2015.................forms delivered
02/11/2015.................NOA1 for all forms
02/18/2015.................received I-797 mail with 13th feb as priority date
02/28/2015.................bio apt received for 03/05
03/05/2015.................got done with Biometrics
03/10/2015.................I-485 status updated to Ready for Interview Schedule
04/14/2015.................I-765 card being produced but no update to I-131

04/23/2015.................Got my EAD/AP combo in mail

06/19/2015.................Got the interview notice in mail. Interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2015.................Went for the interview. Didn't get approved right away but got the text and email later on in the day regarding updates to my case status, welcome notice being mailed and AOS approved

08/16/2015...............Email alert that Card was mailed to me it was Sunday evening.

08/18/2015...............I received my green card in mail exactly 4 weeks from the approval date

This is a difficult process for everyone, regardless of their status. There is no need to point finger and lay blame, nearly everyone is here for the same reason, to make a better life.

Vink, there were people who filed before you in February, not to mention people who filed before you in January and before who have heard nothing about interview.

It isn't like USCIS can go out onto street and hire people who can then start processing immigrants.

Our system is overburdened because of so many illegals inside our country, not because someone isn't working hard enough to process your case.

I never said that they need to hire ppl from streets. They need to hire more people to help meet needs of their customers. If you call the office they don't provide you any update.

Also, illegal immigrants should be treated differently then the one who are legal and have been working legally in this country followed the law and paid their taxes. I find it difficult to understand how they keep on changing laws for illegal immigrants but do nothing for the legal migrants. This is Just an example of things not handled in a fair way.
