We still have not received USCIS acceptance confirmations, however the checks have been cashed. Has anyone else experienced this?

I forgot to add that online it says if I don't hear anything my March.19th to call customer service ..
no hard copy as of yet but it is only Tuesday so still hopeful to hear something this week!

My package was received on 2/9. No texts or emails to this day. Bank says cashiers checks still not cashed. I held off on cancelling them. Yesterday, all 5 letters arrived. Walked in today.

Sending our AOS this week. Medical follow-up tomorrow, throw the envelope in the packet, and off it goes. Hoping to get NOA1 before I go out of status... Fingers crossed. Been a stressful few weeks but will all be worth it in the end.

I am the immigrant (from the UK) and my husband is the USC. Had a ridiculous set back recently but everything should be fine now ... basically:

2/07/15: sent off I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765

2/10/15: application received

2/23/15: was RETURNED my application because I 'forgot' the filing fee for I-485. Nope, the envelope I put the check in came back UNOPENED. So they obviously didn't look very hard. Truly ridiculous and a huge delay in the process.

2/24/15: Sent back my application with the 2 checks paper clipped clearly onto the front page of my application

2/26/15: scheduled to arrive sometime thursday

That was like my biggest fear when mailing, that somehow the checks would magically unclip and get lost. I hope they are a bit more thorough for you this time.

When we get the letter with a date for biometrics, we are allowed to do a walk in earlier then scheduled? If you do a walk in earlier then scheduled do you still need to return on your scheduled date?

KM, I am not expert, but was looking at your timeline (for your husband) and it is interesting.

On the one hand, we always say that once someone marries a US Citizen, all is forgiven concerning

overstays and unauthorized work.

But a big caveat is that the person must have entered the USA legally.

Here is some legal info:

Unauthorized Employment, Unlawful Status or Failure to Maintain Status --

Aliens who have engaged in unauthorized employment, or who were not in lawful status

at the time of filing the adjustment application, or who have failed to continuously

maintain status for even a single day since their entry into the United States

are barred from adjustment of status.

This rule has several exceptions, which include:

Immediate relatives (spouses, parents and unmarried children under 21-years of age)

of U.S. citizens are still eligible to adjust their status.

To AOS you have to: 1) have entered legally, 2) have a qualifying relationship on

the basis of which you are adjusting, 3) qualify financially, 4) Prove you have a

valid marriage - - - this is the focus of the in-person interview.

Since this DACA is relatively new . . . I doubt there have been many test cases.
