A question .. if the EAD/AP is a combo card, and idea why the estimated dates on the timelines different? I understand this is done by VJ but curious if I should be hopeful and use the AP date which is sooner than the EAD date. Thoughts?

Meghan, any such info system is flawed from the beginning because of GIGO.

The VJ system is flawed just as USCIS info system in flawed.

They both rely on people doing their jobs conscientiously, and for those who can provide input to be considerate of others also.

I have already shown in a previous post how the USCIS timelines cannot be correct; mainly because they are not updated.

For the VJ timelines, the incorrectness most likely lies with the participants here who do not provide correct and complete info.

For instance, if some report only the EAD part of their combo card, and others report only the AP part of their combo card, then the statistics can get 'out of whack' concerning expected dates.

The best and most accurate system is where someone takes personal responsibility for presenting data that others have provided in a timely manner.

Does this ring a bell . . . ?

Today (Saturday, I didn't know they worked weekends?) I got the txt saying my EAD was being produced!

Probably some semi-automated system sends out the messages Saturday after employees entered some data Friday.

Does anyone else here who is applying for AOS and has DACA have any experience with reapplying for DACA with a pending AOS? I am not sure if we have to do it, should do it, or what. Also as he just had biometrics done for I-485 will he have to have them done again for DACA?

I have DACA, I applied for advanced parole on October 2014, and it was still December and I had not received any approval or denial, it was December and I was getting close to the 120 days before my DACA expired which was April 2015. I got my renewal packet together and literally the day I sent out the packet, I got aprroved for AP. So I left to Mexico and came back. In Feb I sent in my AOS packet. So both cases were going on at the same time. Last week on the 6th I got approved for renewal of DACA and today I got approved for EAD. My opinion is since you will be getting an EAD soon and hopefully green card you won't need DACA anymore.

Hello Everyone,

I have been updating my timeline here and on trackitt.com, but this is the first time I have discovered this forum - I guess I never scrolled down far enough to find it amongst the other forums.

I just wanted to say hello to everyone and give them my updates. It's great to see all the people's information coming in and makes me more and more excited as the days go on.

So, I moved to Ohio from Canada in 2011 to finish my degree and am currently working on my MBA; so I am completing the AOS from an F-1 visa. My DH and I married on February 5, 2015 and submitted the paperwork February 24th - 60 days after I reentered the country. Since then, here is my timeline:

02/24: Sent in (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131) to Chicago Lockbox via USPS Priority Mail
02/27: Delivered to Lockbox and Received
03/05: Checks for I-130 and I-485 cleared.
03/13: Received Biometrics notice for I-485 and I-765, scheduled for 03/25
03/25: Biometrics completed
04/16: email received stating interview is scheduled for May 19th

04/18: hardcopy of NOA Interview letter received for Cleveland, OH

I have also applied for EAD and AP, but have not received any further information regarding these two items. I am hoping to receive the EAD card soon as I start my internship on May 18th. Otherwise, I will have to have ISS at the school put me down for CPT until my EAD/GC comes in.

Mar 25, 2015 (day 29) - Completed Biometrics, as scheduled.

May 12, 2015 (day 75) - AP/EAD approved and Card has been ordered.

May 27, 2015 (day 90) - AP/EAD Card received in the mailbox.

June 3, 2015 (day 97) - Received NPIW letter in the mailbox.

Sept 24, 2015 (day 212) - I-130/I-485 approved. No Interview.

Sept 28, 2015 (day 216) - GC mailed.

Sept 30, 2015 (day 218) - GC received.

Congrats to everybody on their AOS case progress.

I also just received the good news that my EAD was ordered to be produced.

Today (Saturday, I didn't know they worked weekends?) I got the txt saying my EAD was being produced!
