Yes to add to what Leo said, if you applied for both EAD and AP they send you a combo card (with both on it). Or so I've read around VJ.

11/20/12 - Arrive in US under J1 visa (no 2 year HRR)
04/20/13 - We start dating
01/07/15 - We get married <3


02/10/15 - Day 1 - i-485 & i-130 packet received at Chicago Lockbox
02/21/15 - Day 12 - Receive all four NOA1 hard copies
03/02/15 - Day 21 - Received biometrics appointment notice - scheduled for 3/9
03/03/15 - Day 22 - Successfully walked in to have biometrics done
03/10/15 - Day 29 - i-485 status changed to "Ready to be scheduled for an interview".

04/27/15 - Day 75 - i-485 updated to "Testing & Interview" - scheduled for June 1st // Submitted case inquiry for I-765, pending for 75 days

04/28/15 - Day 76 - I-765 & I-131 approved!

05/05/15 - Day 83 - Interview cancelled. What ?!

05/11/15 - Day 89 - Interview scheduled for June 15th..

06/15/15 - Day 124 - Had our interview, now waiting for decision

06/22/15 - Day 131 - Approved! See you in two years VJ!

I just received a notification that my AP was approved today :). My flight is suppose to leave tomorrow, is there anything I can do to have something on hand?

it takes at least 1 week to receive the physical card from the date of approval

your best option is to have someone mailed it to you once the card arrives, and you can use it for re-entry

I just received a notification that my AP was approved today :). My flight is suppose to leave tomorrow, is there anything I can do to have something on hand?

For some reason I have not getting any email or text alerts on update to my application status. Is there anything I can do solve for it and get the email & text notifications. I did got it for NOA1 but nothing after. Thanks

02/06/2015.................forms i130, i485, i765, i131 mailed via FedEx
02/09/2015.................forms delivered
02/11/2015.................NOA1 for all forms
02/18/2015.................received I-797 mail with 13th feb as priority date
02/28/2015.................bio apt received for 03/05
03/05/2015.................got done with Biometrics
03/10/2015.................I-485 status updated to Ready for Interview Schedule
04/14/2015.................I-765 card being produced but no update to I-131

04/23/2015.................Got my EAD/AP combo in mail

06/19/2015.................Got the interview notice in mail. Interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2015.................Went for the interview. Didn't get approved right away but got the text and email later on in the day regarding updates to my case status, welcome notice being mailed and AOS approved

08/16/2015...............Email alert that Card was mailed to me it was Sunday evening.

08/18/2015...............I received my green card in mail exactly 4 weeks from the approval date

Wife received email and website notification that EAD card was mailed to her today.

Also, I didn't see anything about a tracking number for US Postal, although someone posted earlier that he had a tracking number for the EAD/AP card.

Maybe it will show up on the website later today or tomorrow.

December 4, 2018  USCIS Account shows: We approved your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, 

December 4, 2018, ordered your new card for Receipt # EAC17297003XX, and will mail to the address you gave.

491 days from NOA issued by VSC until Petition approved.

December 7, 2018 USCIS sent notice:  Card mailed.

December 12, 2018 Ten year Green Card received from Lees Summit, MO

499 days from NOA issued by VSC until Green Card received.

December 6, 2018 submitted N-400 application on-line.  Estimated Completion Time: 8 months or August 2019.

December 8, 2018 received notice on USCIS that Biometrics scheduled . . . but the actual date was not yet shown.

December 11, 2018 saw in 'Documents' section of USCIS that Bio scheduled for 24 December 2018.

December 21, 2018 saw on USCIS website that they will be closed 24 December 2018 as extra holiday.

January 9, 2019 went for re-scheduled BIO appointment.  33 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

February 19, 2019 received letter in US mail that Citizenship interview scheduled for 26 March 2019. 74 days after submission on-line.

March 26, 2019 Citizenship interview scheduled for.  109 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

March 26, 2019 Passed Citizenship interview.

April 12, 2019  Received notice that Oath Ceremony had been scheduled for 24 April 2019.  17 days after interview.

April 24, 2019  Oath Ceremony completed.  29 days after interview.     139 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

April 25, 2019  USA Passport Application submitted.

May 3, 2019     USA Passport received.    149 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

May 9, 2019     Certificate of Naturalization and Citizenship returned in mail.

Wife received email and website notification that EAD card was mailed to her today.

Congrats! The next update will include a tracking number when USPS actually pick up mail containing your card! Your card will be the EAD/AP!

Prince, this forum is for those adjusting from Student, Tourist and Work Visas.

Most are being processed for EAD/AP at the NBC in Missouri.

As you indicate, you are adjusting from marriage abroad through Texas Service Center.

So the processing times for EAD/AP can be widely different between these National Processing Centers.

And then, when your file is transferred to local office for AOS processing, the different processing times can be even more widely (even wildly) different.

Thus little value in comparing TSC processing with NBC processing times.
