They are both the same thing. DACA only approves EAD for two years

They are two different processes very independent of one another. Applying for AOS includes all applicants to apply for EAD regardless. I could have reapplied for EAD through DACA just in case but I didn't because I have a straight forward case and I can't think why they wouldn't approve me through AOS. Had I wanted to play it safe, I would have applied for EAD through AOS and DACA. I hope that helps!

Maybe I did something wrong with our application then. I did not include an application for EAD. I only did the I-485, I-864s, and I-131.

Oh no! If you are planning to work and you are not re-applying for DACA, you should have also included your I-765 along with the forms you mentioned. Hmmm...maybe you can still submit it? I would call USCIS and see what you can do about it.

I'm not sure. His work permit doesn't expire until October 15. He is planning on joining the military as soon as he is approved.

Regarding bank account, the reason why I'm kinda freaking out is because me and my husband doesn't have any joint account. We've tried getting one from Wells Fargo but won't allow us coz I've mentioned on my previous post that hubby's on the check system they said and that prevent him from getting one. He had an account with Wells before but closed it when he got overdraft for almost $1000. I have my own account with Wells but we've tried adding him to my account but that's not gonna be good idea since they said that because he's on the check system, and if I add him to my account, they will deduct his overdraft from my account and at this point, we can't still afford it since I'm not yet working.

Hoping that NOT having joint account will not be a big impact on proving a bonafide marriage. Btw, here's the lists of some of the documents that we have for evidences:

1. Marriage Certificate

2. My name as beneficiary on his health and life insurance

3. Wedding pictures

4. Pictures together with my family and his family duringtheir vacation in the Philippines

5. Gym membership with both our names and same address

6. Testimonials/Affidavit from his mom living with us about our relationship

7. Testimonials/Affidavit from our friends about our relationship

8. Copies of letters/email exchanges when we're still on LDR

9. Cards and notes from each other since LDR and until now that we're loving together

10. Some documents we have showing both our names and same address

11. My name as his emergency contact at work and my name as emergency contact for his son's school

12. Memorabilia box (contains exchanged letters,diaries,scrapbooks,receipts we have collected since we became a couple way back 2010)

13. Copies of remittances when we are still on LDR

*will also try if We could include my name on our mortgage since I don't have yet any SSN.

Today I receive an update on my case that says EAD Card has been ordered, I hope I will get it before going for interview by next week and if not I believe everything works for good for those that believe in God . Cheers

Do you think that if I make an infopass to show them my EAD has been approved, they can actually stamp my passport? I only have two days left I am suppose to leave to mexico on the 17th at 1 am...

Congrats Nevarez!

I don't know about getting a stamp for AP, I know some people ask for one/get one after being approved for their GC following the interview, but for AP...I don't know. You might as well try I guess?

No chance you can reschedule your trip for a week later?

Ps. Im so happy everyone's getting their EADs hopefully it means mine is up soon !!

So I just received notification that my EAD was just ordered but no notification of AP? Did my AP not get approved?

I posted this earlier:

Wife got the official letter in US mail saying EAD card approved. And, we were happy to see after a very careful reading of the letter, that AP approved also.

Strange that the email and notification on website only said that EAD approved and status of AP was still shown as early Feb submission.

And, this I-797 NOA is titled "Application for Employment Authorization."

But again, reading first sentence (all the sentences are in very tiny print) it says that EAD and AP are both approved.

Don't know if this is the same situation for others; or if others of you have gotten separate emails and letters for EAD and AP; and if any of you have a status change shown for AP on the Website.
