Hi everyone!

First of all congrats obanla!! How very exciting!! Funny how they did not update your online status.. It really seems they do whatever they please!

I mailed what was necessary for my RFE today and it will hopefully arrive by 3/25 and then my husband and I should be back on track. We decided it was easier for us to use a joint sponsor instead of jumping through all the hoops due the to foreign earned income.

Hopeful for more interviews (and EADs) soon!

DAY 84 - May 26, 2015: We mailed your EAD to the address you gave us/USPS picked up the Card

DAY 85 - May 27, 2015: Interview Scheduled for June 29, 2015.

** May 29: Traveled with my AP back to my country and came back three weeks after with no problems Click here to ready the report **

DAY 117 - June 29, 2015: Had our interview. Approved on the spot.

DAY 124 - July 6, 2015: Welcome noticed received.

DAY 134 - July 16, 2015: Green Card delivered to my home by USPS - END OF AOS -

Hey guys,

I got my biometrics letter, it is scheduled for April 3rd. I am just going to wait until then as I am in Salt Lake City until next Tuesday anyway. Happy everything is moving along. Can't wait for my EAD and interview and obviously the green card eventually!!

Pre AOS

September 2011: Comes to the US for a year study abroad
August 2013: Returns to the US (went back to the UK to finish my undergraduate in 2012) and starts master's degree program
December 2014: Get married to my now husband after being together for 6 years :)

January 2015: Starts working on application
02/10/15: I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765 received by lockbox
02/23/15: AOS returned because they couldn't find my I-485 check ... bloody ********
02/24/15: AOS mailed back out
02/27/15: AOS delivered to Chicago Lockbox
03/06/15: Case accepted and routed to USCIS NBC (National Benefits Center) for processing
03/09/15: Checks cashed by USCIS
03/14/15: Hard copies received in the mail for NOA1 for I-485, I-131 & I-765 (waiting on I-130)
03/21/15: Received notice for biometrics, scheduled April 3rd
3/23/15: Received RFE :(
04/03/15: Went and did my fingerprints
04/11/15: Supporting evidence for RFE for Initial Evidence received by USCIS

Hi Guys,

So I sent my package back on the 13th of March after it was sent back for a missed item, said it was received on the 16th. Haven't heard anything since then. Been about 5 working days since they have received it. I think the worst part is the initial waiting to see if its going to get sent back or actually processed. I think I would be much more patient knowing that a bio-metrics appointment is coming because my package is being processed. At least then I would know I was in the right direction. Right now all I know is the package was delivered.

February 20th- Sent Packet I-765, I-131, I-130, I-485

February 26th- Packet Received

March 6th- First RFE (missed one signature. DUMMY)

March 14th- Sent packet back

March 17th- Packet received

March 27th- Biometrics confirmation

April 16th- Biometrics appointment

April 21st- Second RFE for packet I-130, needed one more petitioner

May 14th- Called USCIS, currently day 58 out of the 75. Currently being patient :)

491 days from NOA issued by VSC until Petition approved.

December 7, 2018 USCIS sent notice:  Card mailed.

December 12, 2018 Ten year Green Card received from Lees Summit, MO

499 days from NOA issued by VSC until Green Card received.

December 6, 2018 submitted N-400 application on-line.  Estimated Completion Time: 8 months or August 2019.

December 8, 2018 received notice on USCIS that Biometrics scheduled . . . but the actual date was not yet shown.

December 11, 2018 saw in 'Documents' section of USCIS that Bio scheduled for 24 December 2018.

December 21, 2018 saw on USCIS website that they will be closed 24 December 2018 as extra holiday.

January 9, 2019 went for re-scheduled BIO appointment.  33 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

February 19, 2019 received letter in US mail that Citizenship interview scheduled for 26 March 2019. 74 days after submission on-line.

March 26, 2019 Citizenship interview scheduled for.  109 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

March 26, 2019 Passed Citizenship interview.

April 12, 2019  Received notice that Oath Ceremony had been scheduled for 24 April 2019.  17 days after interview.

April 24, 2019  Oath Ceremony completed.  29 days after interview.     139 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

April 25, 2019  USA Passport Application submitted.

May 3, 2019     USA Passport received.    149 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

I applied in Feb 2015 to Chicago Lockbox as well. My I-485 was changed to ready to be scheduled for interview as of March 09th but no updates since then. My local field office will be Chicago as well. Anyone is same situation like mine? How long does it take for the interview to be scheduled? Still waiting for EAD and AP.

02/18/2015.................received I-797 mail with 13th feb as priority date
02/28/2015.................bio apt received for 03/05
03/05/2015.................got done with Biometrics
03/10/2015.................I-485 status updated to Ready for Interview Schedule
04/14/2015.................I-765 card being produced but no update to I-131

04/23/2015.................Got my EAD/AP combo in mail

06/19/2015.................Got the interview notice in mail. Interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2015.................Went for the interview. Didn't get approved right away but got the text and email later on in the day regarding updates to my case status, welcome notice being mailed and AOS approved

08/16/2015...............Email alert that Card was mailed to me it was Sunday evening.

08/18/2015...............I received my green card in mail exactly 4 weeks from the approval date

Hi Vink, welcome to the February group.

Please tell what country you are from, date Chicago received your packet, date you completed bio; and date your status was changed to 'ready for interview.

Then we can add you to our list to be able to compare with others experience.

As to when they will actually schedule your interview: It could be tomorrow, or it could be in 5 months or more.

Congrats, if your GC will be approved on the spot in april 22, you maybe one of those applicants with the fastest processing time, less than 3 months....
