Hi,

Are there any member waiting for the K-3 packet 4 from Guanzhou, China? I just wonder what is the timeline for a K-3 apllication. I submitted I130 in 4-10-05, I129F in 5-9-05, my wife got the K-3 application in 11-4-05 and sent back to the Guangzhou Consulate on 11-17-05, since then nothing has happened. My wife called the Consulate in Guangzhou and they said they recieved the Packet 3 from us, but no information about what is the time they will get to us. It had been 4 monhts since we sent back the P3. Any body has any suggestion what I should do or contact who at this moment?

Thanks.

Al

Al - My wife just got her P-4 last week and has her interview April 18th. Her I-130 (for CR1)process began 12/04. I believe it was finally approved December 05. It is not a lot of help - but there is a phone # that answers calls for the consulate - but they are pretty useless - as you know. You could try calling the state deprtment. If you are in Guangzou - visit them. Make yourself a nuisance by calling them (Guangzhou)often.

Please be patient - that is truly the only advice I can offer.

HI Pual,

Your case is CR-1 (immigration visa)and mine is K-3(non-immigration visa) , from what I heard, K-3 should be much faster than Cr-1. isn't it?

Four months for P3 is too long, even by GUZ standards...

You could be held up by a name check issues.. best bet is to call DOS and ask them for an update; specifically ask if the name check was started and/or completed.

If they say it was completed, they I would send an email to the consulate asking for an update...

the case is for P-4 we sent P3 back already in 11-20-05, I received a email from the Guangzhou Embassy that they will scheduled interview in May or June, that means P-4. I think somebody get the P-4 in 8 months for K-3, somehow the embassy is not treating every application the same pace.
