Many people have done so, including us. It is another way to obtain information from USCIS.

Did anyone sign up with that? Are there any 'benefits'?

You will get e-notifications about the status updates about your case via email and text message if you sign up. If you don't you will not get the e-notifications. You will be notified only via regular mail. You should sign up to avail the facility. :)

We registered our I-129F petition with them & we got extra communication for NOA1, NOA2, & when USCIS forwarded the petition to the NVC. Then communication ceased. But now we are in the AOS stage & we have signed up our 3 Case #s for I-485, I-765, & I-131. We already received the extra communication for NOA1. That's as far as we are so far.
