DCF in Frankfurt

Hi,

I just wanted to share this information with anyone else going through DCF in Frankfurt. I received an email yesterday informing me that they are currently adjudicating I-130 petitions received in early December. The email also stated that it is currently taking 60-90 days for petitions to be processed, from the date they are received by USCIS.

Hope this information helps those of you going through Frankfurt!

We drove from The Netherlands to Frankfurt last week to file the I-130. Once the I-130 is approved they told us they would send the documents to the American Consulate in Amsterdam.

What I don't understand though, if currently it takes them around 2 months to adjucate the I-130, how can the whole process only take 60-90 days?

Hello Dinmir, I am not sure if you misunderstood Mary's posting or if the '60-90 days' you speak of is from another source. Frankfurt say they are currently adjudicating I-130s lodged with them in early December but also that the current process time (for I-130s) is 60-90 days (this, I think, is the same information but they gave it in two different ways - Mary do feel free to correct me if I am wrong.)

Candace is correct. I did mean that the I-130s are currently taking 60-90 days to process (not the whole process from petition to visa). Sorry if you were hoping to have the whole thing finished more quickly.

Dinmir, ...although I should mention that perhaps yours will be processed more quickly since you delivered it in Frankfurt. I mailed mine to USCIS in early December, and there might be a difference depending on whether it's mailed or hand delivered.

Good news. Received Packet 3 from the Consulate in Frankfurt today. Our I-130 was approved! Now we just have to fax the checklist OF-169 and then mail in the DS-230 to get an appointment for the interview. We have all our documents gathered together already, so hopefully all will go smoothly. Yay!

Thanks, Candace. Your wish must have brought us luck because today we received the interview appointment in Frankfurt: April 2nd. That was really fast. The only thing that took a long time was the I-130 approval. Hopefully all will go well in Frankfurt. I'll post news here in April.
