Immigration visa and citizenship from a child?

Is it possible for a child of 12 years (who is a us citizen from his mom) being able to apply for his dad to come through into the states on an immigration visa? What would the process be from then on?

If yes, would would happen to the dads girlfriend/fiance? Would she have to get married to him?

No. the child has to be over 21 years to apply for parents immigration.

The mom has passed away unfortunately so that was why I was asking. Ok so basically nothing can happen until the child is 21.

The problem is staying with his father in south africa is that it is dangerous, hopefully he makes it to 21.

Once 21 he can then apply for his dad to get an immigration visa. Now if his dad has a partner will the child have to petition for her too? Or will it have to be done through marriage?

I have been living in the US since 2008. I met my American husband in Toronto while he was there for work. He was transferred back to Georgia which is why I came here.

Where is your son now? A relative? Why can that relationship not maintain?

Its my fiance's son, his mom passed away. So my other half was saying to me that he could apply to the states through his son, but I know the rules are strict for the states so I wanted to find out what the options were

Im keen on vancouver in canada which would take me a lot easier too with having a degree etc...I also have family there too

He can petition for a stepparent if the marriage occurs before his 18th birthday.
