Petitioner not living in the US for a Year. Will it be a problem ??

Hi Greg,

What I am confused about is that I live in Abudhabi with my Husband.

I am the petitioner and he is the beneficiary.

What I want to know is that during the NVC stage should I tell NVC that I am not in the US or should I mention that I am still in the US to avoid any unnecessary questions ?

I live in Dubai with my fiance and have lived here 5 years this month and there were never any questions on this. I put my home address on all the forms but did a supplement stating my Dubai address and that I was living here. I am employed by a US Company (which I own) and paid US W-2 wages, and maintained my home there as well as bank accounts, drivers license etc. Anyway no questions about any of that but K-1 is a different process is different from the CR-1 so I really don't know. I was just addressing that you will not be allowed in at the interview. Best success!
