Anyone notice that there is no K1 listed under the Visa type? Check the drop down menu, I could not find K1. Or is it just me?

It was down for a week so I could not schedule for appointment. Now that it is up and running, I could not find K1. Lol..

Heeeelllppp..

I emailed the embassy though..

The new upgraded website is very very confusing!! I had to call the phone number under the contact us "call centre" twice, and then after that things were still not working for me so I had to send an email. Did you already sign up on the old site? If so, you need to send an email to the email address listed under "contact us" then under " other issues" and ask them to transfer your old account over to the new upgraded site. After that, I was able to sign in and pay the visa fee, then book the interview. FYI there is one appointment left on the 17th of Feb, and quite a few for the 24th of Feb.

Let me know if you need further help :)

Charmed2006, I notice that you now have an appointment. Did you get it online or through the call centre? There aren't any appointments available online and I'm thinking about calling the call centre.

I did, but I have a really flexible job. I gave notice that I'll be leaving some time between March and May.

I got a form email in reply to my request for them to link my account to the new website, 3 days later. They were requesting a bunch of info that I already provided in my first email. To be this close to scheduling an interview but stuck on their slow admin problems is very frustrating.

I did give notice at my job at the beginning of January, for end of March. I work as a nanny and I have been open with the family I work for and kept them in the loop. Things were moving along so quickly between NOA 2 and packet 3 and 4, that I really didn't think there was going to be a delay in booking my interview. After logging in multiple times a day for 21 days, I was finally able to get an interview date (Feb.17th) that was available. If I had to do things over again, I would wait till I actually had the visa till I gave notice. The whole K1 visa process is already stressful, and this made me even more stressed out! I rent my apartment and I am waiting to give notice of me moving out till I actually have the visa.

I haven't given my resignation notice yet either, I would like to have the visa in hand first since I don't trust the process!

If anyone sees appointments we should let each other know!
