Yessss!!! How about making some handmade valentine cards? I will send you my address and you can mail us a frilly "Happy Valentines Day" wish. :P

I was hooked on checking status for NOA2, which you didn't get to experience so much. Then I realized it was just making me crazy and disappointed. So I pretty much abandoned checking anything for the rest of the Journey to citizenship.

Take a break and make my card. Hahahaha

Oh gosh, I never was the artsy type. I fear you may be disappointed ;)

I think I need a hobby, too. It's amazing how much one obsesses over having this information available (being able to check your status online)--USCIS was a frequent search last month, now it's the CEAC. I literally forced myself to go to the cinemas by myself on Tuesday so that I wouldn't bother stewing about 'should I call the NVC or not today.'

Funnily enough, a fellow VJer who shares the same NOA2 date and consulate text messaged me just as I sat down with my drink and popcorn notifying me she got her case number. So, you can only imagine what happened next-I was like a cat on a hot tin roof the whole time I was in the cinema willing the movie to just get on with it so that I could make that call.

What unfortunate timing! Gotta laugh eh?

*waves hand in the air* me too! I definitely need a hobby. Fortunately, two of my best friends are flying in from LA for the weekend for some PR stuff we have going on in NYC so I will be well occupied...until Sunday. When I'll be back to OCD status. (I should add OCD status at this point for me will be going over everything for the interview with my fiance leading up to Wed. :bonk: )

I feel like when this whole thing is over, I'll be sorta like a new person - with a new much higher tolerance level for patience. Because I am awful when it comes to waiting patiently.

When this whole thing is over... jeez... we still have AOS, ROC and Naturalization to go! I may well have died from all the stress by then ;)

Kas has to constantly tell me to chill out and breathe and to take everything in stride. God bless him for being so patient with me.

I think I'll be a different person once we are in the same time zone... some days are good where the time change and distance doesn't effect me all that much, but when I'm sat in my apartment alone, the loneliness tends to creep in pretty intensely.

I hear you. I am currently house sitting for a friend in the middle of nowhere with two dogs and four horses for company. Feeling incredibly lonely!

I think once I had that dream where I was stressing out over not completing an imaginary form I decided to take a break from worrying about this process!! I have given CEAC a quick check every day, because why not? But just going to see how things turn out. I've put a reminder in my calendar for the 6 weeks mark from when I had my medical, so if I haven't heard anything by then I'll start contacting the embassy. But I will be curious to see when people get their interview date from VJ, it's quite good timing that so many of us are waiting so we can be impatient together :P.

Come on, Pheebs, get making those Valentine's Day cards!

My fiance finishes his last day of work in Japan tomorrow, then he'll be spending 3 weeks sorting out his move from Japan, then his Dad is visiting him for 2 weeks; basically he's not even thinking about this visa as much as I am!! I think when he gets to America that's when he'll start pining for me to get over there ;).

I filled in the readiness form on January 28th and had my medical on February 4th, I emailed the embassy on January 29th to check they had received my readiness form and they confirmed they have and are waiting to receive medical exam results for me, it has been 4 days since my medical exam, I do remember the receptionist at the medical exam did tell me it will take 2 days for my blood test and chest xray results to come through and then 4 days for the medical exam results to get to the US embassy, so I am expecting them to receive it next week wednesday or thursday. Then I wait for them to send me appointment letter packet 4, I am glad it would only take around 1 week to and then from what people said about having interview 1 month after medical exam, then I reckon my interview will be March 4/5th then most likely, good to know.

I'm hoping our letter didn't get sent to the old address, if it got sent out. I told G it wouldn't, because everything I read said they take the DS-160 address, but he has been right about a lot of things and says it probably got sent to the old house. xD

I'd email using the London Embassy contact form to confirm your address just to be safe!
