All,

I saw on the embassy website that the immigrant visa unit is currently processing applicant readiness forms on or before 1/27/15. I wonder if they are running behind at the embassy which means later interview dates will be given? sigh...

We submitted readiness form the day my fiancé had his medical which was Jan 19th. We got his interview letter on the 31st. His interview is scheduled for Feb 20th. I think on average the interview is running about a month after the medical as long as everything is ok with your medical and all forms are submitted. We called NVC on Friday the 30th and they were able to tell us what date they had mailed out the interview letter and the date and time of his interview.

this is wonderful. He just had his medical last Wednesday so, i told him to submit his readiness form today. I also told him to follow-up with knightsbridge to ensure they sent his medical off... i don't trust when people say they are going to do something lol. I am a nurse so i am OCD... i follow-up with everything!

It seems like the interviews are definitely taking place about a month after the medical (pending everything is ok with the medical). My fiance's medical was 1/12, he submitted the readiness form on 1/14 and received packet 4 in the mail on 1/22. And his interview is 2/11 - so a month almost to the day after his medical.

Keep an eye on your CEAC status as well - our dates changed 3 times before he got the appointment letter in the mail (once for when the medical was received, once for when the readiness form was received and once for when they mailed out the appointment letter).

Be sure to keep us posted! :)

shana, you were at the medical the same day as my fiance....i have not seen any updates... weird...

and i know nothing is wrong with him because he just had his regular physical with his GP 3 weeks ago and he was told everything was fine with him, perfect health. that is why i want him to call them and ensure they delivered his stuff.... people can be irresponsible when it is not their stuff... smh!

Where did you see on the embassy website that they were processing particular readiness forms? Tried to do a search but couldn't find anything!

Not sure what to tell ya, maybe my medical results just so happened to get on top of a pile? I'm sure you'll get an update soon :)

Awesome! Definitely - change #3 will be the mailing of the appointment letter. You can email the embassy, I believe, to see if they scheduled your interview yet. I know the K1 guide that's pinned in this forum also says you can call the DOS and get your interview date - not sure if that's still possible. But maybe email the embassy in the morning and see if your date's been assigned yet. :)

Ha! You have more patience than I do. We filed in early June (technically we mailed it end of May) so my patience level is very thin these days. My fiance emailed for his interview date and literally 15 minutes later his mom skyped him (he was visiting me here in NY) to tell him his appointment letter arrived in the mail.

when i went to the website london.usembassy.gov i then went to immigrant visa section then there is a section that says status check you will see it bolded in red

This page is for immigrant and K visa applicants who has completed and transmitted their visa application form DS-260 (IV applicants) or DS-160 (K visa applicants) and submitted the Notification of Applicant's Readiness form electronically to the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Embassy.

Please note: We will not schedule an appointment for an interview until the Immigrant Visa Unit is in receipt of your medical examination. If you submitted the forms electronically but have not yet attended a medical, you should schedule an appointment immediately as the failure to do so will delay the processing of your application.

Information on scheduling an appointment for a medical examination is available here.

After the interview

Applicants should note that, following a successful interview, their application will take approximately 10-15 days to be processed. If your application is likely to take longer, you will be advised at the time of your interview with a Consular officer.

Status Check

The Immigrant Visa Unit is processing the Notification of Applicant's Readiness forms received on or before January 27.

No to calling DOS. That is noted later in the pinned thread. Some get lucky and NVC tells them. Some are told by NVC to call your embassy. A few are told in a email response from the embassy, but that isn't their standard procedure to answer your emails to say "not yet" or "yes, you do have an interview." They intend for you to wait for the letter and email if you have a real problem. Take your chances of you want to. Maybe you will get lucky. Maybe they will get annoyed with you. Who knows?

Shana, has it changed since your medical? We sent our readiness form on the 16th, had a change on the 21st, medical on 29th, and no change yet (hopefully on Wednesday). I am just curious because I figured mine would be a day or so after yours.

If they are processing 27-Jan readiness forms, I will be one happy girl! :)
