Where to call in this case?

Hi, I am a US citizen, I petitioned my two brothers back in 2001. Last year one of my brother came to the United States with his wife and two children on March. The other brother, his wife, and 8 years old daughter have not come to the United States yet. The reason is because he used to be in jail for sometimes before I file the petition for him. After get out of jail, he married his wife and they have a daughter. Both of my brothers were called to be interviewed but only one made it. The other was told to go home and wait. No paper or any denial that he can't come to the United States because of his jail time. The interviewer told him to go home and wait. It has been more than a year since the interview. In this case, what can he do about it? Is there somewhere to call to get more status? Thank you.

Alternatively, call the NVC Hotline, punch option 3, and ask for casefile status, asking also to review the computer to see if a date to 'do more' was entered.
