Hi, I have a question for you guys, and please forgive me if it is too simple. I am a US citizen and my wife's K-3 application has been approved and now received in the US embassy in Pakistan. They sent my wife a package containg a list of documents which she is required to gather and have also asked for me to fill out an I-134 financial support document. My question is this; I am a medical student and I am basically living off of loans that the school and the federal goverment provides (which will be enough to support us); and since I went straight from high school to college to medical school I have never had a "real job" nor have I ever filled for taxes (I never made enough in my work study jobs to file for taxes). I'm a bit confused now in how to fill this financial support document. If I need a co-sponsor, my parents are willing to do this, but I am not sure if this is possible or how to go about doing this. Please, I would be grateful if there is any help that anyone can provide. Thank you.

You'll have to get your parents to be joint sponsors with you. The consulate will not accept student loans as a source of income for the two of you.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

My understanding is that you are the sponsor and need to fill out the I-134 with a page attached explaining your status and why you never filed income taxes. You also need a co-sponsor, who fills out a separate I-134, supplying evidence of their ability to keep the foreign national from becoming a public charge.
