Thanks everyone for the warm congrats....

Does anyone know how long it will take for my passport to come back with the visa? In the embassy they say up to 10 days or something, but I see a lot of people that have it within a week..

Just wondering, so I can schedule my flight :)

Also, just to make sure, I read somewhere I receive some sort of envelope that I'm not supposed to open.. Is this accurate?

You receive your entire immigration file in a sealed envelope...petition, London paper work, medical results. You hand carry it to the US and turn it in at POE, where it is opened and processed. It goes into a central storage until you file for AOS, then gets matched up with your AOS file.

Wait to book your flight unless gambling is fun to you.

I would wait until the visa is in hand. The price won't change that much in the meantime I shouldn't imagine. You never know with these things, not worth the risk of booking a flight in my opinion.

Haha thanks.

And yes no cost, just because they heard I was in my way of getting married.

Now I have to admit that I'm diamond with Skymiles because of my work milage accrued..

And I had to pay 65 British pounds as a luxury tax here in the UK but that's it.

Did you have yours delivered or did you pick it up? Am I right in thinking it took seven days to get your passport back after the interview? Thanks! :)

P.S. Thanks for writing a review on your interview! I know I've already read loads but I still like to see how it goes for people/how long it takes :).

I upgraded once based on gold status. They brought so much fine food and treats, that I finally had drop out of the food to get some sleep. I totally missed breakfast and begged for a gulp of coffee when they woke me to get the seat upright for landing. Nice!

Once my fiancé was flying over on Christmas Day. The airport was insane with flight delays and over bookings. Angry people were giving the gate attendants hell. My fiancé, who is so thoughtful, bought a box of fine chocolates and gave it to the ladies saying he was so sorry they had to spend Christmas dealing with rude people. She took his boarding pass and gave him a first class seat assignment back. :)
