NVC email response time?

Hi all - I emailed the NVC (at their asknvc address) on December 29 asking for an embassy change, because my husband moved. I know they are incredibly backlogged but does anyone know how long they are taking to respond to emails? It's now been five weeks.

Hi Frips - did your embassy change get approved? Curious about the time between them acknowledging receipt of the email and actually acting on it. I'm getting nervous about the timing of everything.

Nope, nothing yet...still waiting. Also emailed my Embassy (requested one) and no answer from them also which is strange. Usually they answered me in a day or two. I hope the embassy has faster email channel to NVC as we ordinary people do:)

I will call NVC again next week.

(Whoops, misread that reply above). Unbelievably frustrating. I'm calling my Congressman today to see if their constituent services person can help. Good idea on contacting the embassies too.

exactly 64 daysfrom initial request I think:/

PS can you email congressman? We are both living abroad so it would be much easier to email them....

you can probably email but i think it's best to call first and find out if they can help in the first place - if they can help, they need a written letter with your signature in order to be able to find out information about your case. i'm not sure who you would call since you live abroad though - what district do you vote in? i'll let you know what the staffer tells me whenever he calls back!

I called this morning btw and the operator said she had no idea when they would reply but was surprised i hadn't heard anything and told me to email again. i think she just has no idea how backlogged the email is, it seems pointless to email again.
