Dear all, just recently I came across this website in a search for my problem which I assume that I'm not the only one suffering.

I'm a lawful permanent resident and I got married last year overseas, I filed i130 for my wife as soon as we got married and it was received January 2014 and "supposedly being processed" at Vermont center, now it has been over a year that we live apart and the processing time of that center hasn't moved almost at all(Sept 2013 has been the date of the last processed case along 2014 till now) It keeps going back an forth in 3 to 4 days increments within September 2013.

Is that normal?

Why would they do that to people? it's torture!

You received a lot of great answers so I'm only going to refer to once you get your case number you need to go to this link and you will be help by everyone, Saylin is the OP she started the thread and it's full of information you might want to start looking at now http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/534417-nvc-filers-february-2015/.

Also Dewheel's thread is of the utmost value once you get your CC/Case Complete http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/534425-march-2015-interviews/

@ Padistine:

Another shocker for us....just now read from May 26 onwards spouses of certain H1B visa holders are eligible to stay & work in USA.

Hello I just read your post and I'm so sorry for your frustration ... I don't know if you read in the visajourney forum but people with January 2014 priority dates are paying the AOS fees and collecting their civil documents (this happens when your priority date is about to become current) I don't know if your case he's been sent to NVC if yes call them and ask about IIN and try to log in to see I you can pay the fees ..

Good luck !

They seem to be working on Cases in December right now from reading other folks' comments. You're in CSC so why are you worried that much. You're still ahead of the 1000s who are stuck in VSC right now. We all know it's frustrating because we all have been in this, some of us longer than you have. Most likely in the next month or two, you will have the option to pay your fees and if fortunate enough will see completion with everything by the end of the year. We can always hope for sooner than that but it's best to set and manage expectations that way.
