Well I don't know if it was prayers or good luck or just our place in the queue but ... we did it. We got a case complete. Honestly feels surreal right now.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is incredible news!!!:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: You should go out and celebrate! You're almost at the finish line!! :)

Thank you darling Soloenta :) I hope our prayers pay off soon.

Your welcome my angel and no worry's they will :D Prayers always do God willing.

I just spoke with NVC. I sent them an additional AOS package for good measure while I'm waiting for the supervisor to review the one that's already there (just to confirm that the signature is not a copy!!!) I asked if they could expedite my case via the most recent AOS package I sent since it is just confirming a signature and they said they didn't have any measures like that in place? I asked what the backlog currently looked like and if there was a possibility I'd hear back before the 60 days were up. He said that it wasn't likely and the best I could hope for was 55 days....

All this for a stupid signature...wow.

Way to go, it's the best thing to do but I hope they wont even need to look at them. :D:dance:   (L)

HI! I can come in here instead of lurking now!

Just found out we got case complete as of yesterday! Last scan date 11 Dec.

Hoping we get an interview in March. My husband leaves on March 2 to go back to the USA and I'd love us to not be apart too long.

But with a CC of just yesterday I feel we will probably be an April interview. What do you guys think?

WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO CONGRATULATIONS SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. OMG I'm so happy right now from so much joy! You know your off my special prayer list hahahahahaa ;)! Your all in my prayers always!

Also--someone mentioned talking to a supervisor named Mari. How do you do that? When the NVC guy gets on the phone and gets your info, do you just immediately ask to speak to Mari? And do they immediately put you through?

I would blatantly lie and say you spoke to here and she asked you to call back hahahahahaa I have done this but you can just ask for her, they will ask you what the problem is so be prepared to tell them and if need be lie. :D:dance:   t5063.gif

Day # 39 no case number. I was told this morning to try back tomorrow but chances are I wont get one until Monday.??

I loooove this post...even though I have gone through some tough circumstances with all this immigration stuff I hate to hear people saying mean things and calling the NVC workers bad names. Ive lost it a time or two myself but it really irks me to see people that are the immigrants themselves saying awful things about the USA because of the broken immigration process.

I always tell whatever phone operator I get on the line thank you for the thankless job they do and that I hope that they have a good day.I dont always feel like saying it but I do lol.

thanks!...give a little, get a lot in return :)

I am also in AP but have a second interview date coming up for hubby in March. Praying all goes well. Just wanted to say I feel the same way regarding the ppl working at NVC. I believe in killing with kindness. I've even wrote to them with compliments for everyone that was nice to me and got this in return

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your kind words. We will pass your feedback on to the

Dropping in to say hello! We have been in the US for 2 weeks exactly and are slowly settling in. Living at my parents' house while we look for a house and jobs. We bought a car last week, so have transportation without borrowing my parents' vehicles. They have made us feel so welcome and we are very comfortable at their house. Still feels like a vacation. I have applied for a couple of jobs, but not stressing yet, just enjoying time with family and friends. Our kids started school this week and are settling in well. I don't want them to get too settled though because when we move to a new house they will have to change schools again. They are only little, so shouldn't be too traumatic for them.

I haven't been on here forever, so not sure who is still around. Was thrilled to read about Sharksbelow case complete and so excited for Soloenta's upcoming interview!

Take care everyone and hang in there if you are still waiting on CC, it will come and your dream will come true too.

Grrrr have tried for the second time to call and get my IV bill invoiced. Spoke with JR and he said there was nothing he could do. It takes up to 42 days to review the DS-261. I know a lot of others have had luck with this but I am getting discouraged that I am going to reach the right rep lol I REALLY hate calling. :clock::cry:

We emailed on Jan 16 and we still haven't received confirmation. I know someone submitted on Jan 11 and received an email confirmation on Jan 26. We are stressed out a bit since we called and a very rude lady kept saying we should just email them again. What should we do? Should we wait another week before calling them again!? :(

I was the someone who got confirmation Jan 26. I would try calling again and trying to get a new rep. Depending on what they say, re-send or not. Try and get them to put in writing somewhere that they told you to re-send and then if you get a scan date for the orginal sending of your documents, call and try to talk to a supervisor to try and get the second sending ignored. It probably won't work, but I can't think of anything else.

Check your sent mail and quintuple check that you sent it to the correct address.

I would also, given that scan dates are assigned it seems for the day after you send the email, if you DO re-send, send it in several times in rapid succession (so within a fifteen minute burst) from different email providers in case there's some kind of filter messing things up.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.
