I know how you feel but now that the interview date is getting closer I'm becoming more nervous and down right scared. So take a deep breath you will get there in no time at all.

Checklist is possible but wont happen but deny no they wont deny you so just hang in there you so close so please take it easy we are all praying for you so your all good. But I know you and I are much a like we wont stop worrying until this is all done.

So happy for you, my Senator and Congress women did NOTHING for us your one of the lucky ones that is actually getting help. I'll be praying this goes quickly and you get your husband home.

If you can pick someone in Ca that isn't retiring like Boxer she did nothing for me neither did Napolitano but you never know about Napolitano after I let her assistant have it she might have changed her attitudes to helping. Yeah, thanks. I think I'll dig up the old letter and update it a bit. I can't believe there is still a backlog at NVC, I thought it would have been fixed by now. Coming this April, will be 2 years for me that I have applied. It sucks even more though that my case is at the Embassy, I can get no update at all! Just...wait...I hope to look back at this ridiculous process some day and laugh..a little..

I used black. I talked to the NVC guy--i actually got a nice one for once--and he said that they would accept the form in either black or blue ink--but the issue wasn't the color, it's that they thought it was a copy, which it's not. They sent it to supervisor review, which could take up to 40 days. In the meantime he said I could submit a new AOS so that we don't have to start 60 days again if the supervisor doesnt rule in our favor. He also said we don't have to include the 2014 tax year yet, we could include up to 2013 bc 2014 isn't due until April so 2013 is still valid. He also said that this new affidavit wouldnt affect the old one at all, meaning if the supervisor agrees with us they'll move the case to cc and disregard this new affidavit. but if he doens't agree with us, at least we'll have a head start on the 60 days bc we weren't waiting for the supervisor. He also said we could use the old barcode cover sheet they sent us. So i'm overnighting everything again today because I saved the template and tax docs. All i have to do is sign and send.

Yeah sorry to hear that, they do say you can use any color ink but just use blue so they cannot say its a copy, I remember when I sent my application, I sent in many "Notes" about anything that might be different or questionable, just to be cautious. From what I have learned, they will checklist you for the stupidest things! I've seen ppl get checklists that make no sense and even ppl who did everything correctly! Be one step ahead of them! Even though...in the end, you will have to wait for them...

There is no excuse why a fellow Sept 2013 filer isn't through to the finish line!! I hope and pray that some movement and progress comes your way so you can be reunited soon. This process makes every one of us suffer but we come out stronger at the end. I hope your reps can make something happen!!

I think I missed your post so sorry about that my excuse is I have the flu and its a bad one. Yes it's been a long time and here we are still waiting but it's all good just praying no AP and a Visa would be nice after all this nightmare. God willing my friend, God willing. I'm on the verge of tears right now....I just spoke with them on the phone and they said the signature doesn't look like an original bc they think it might be a copy. But it's 100% an original!!! I mailed everything overnight! I don't know what to do...they said they'd put it in supervisory review....but man oh man....another 60 days?? for something that isn't even true! they said the documents are complete otherwise! This isn't fair! I did everything right!!

Sweet heart you have to talk to a Supervisor, this happens all the time just let him/her know they are all originals that sending another original would be the same. They usually fix it right away. Now just take a deep breath call again ask who the supervisor on your case is and that you need to talk to them right away. They are testing you so just relax something like this has happened to all of us and yes it's NOT fair at all.

What about the rule change, no originals only copies the originals you take to the interview? This is just BS! Ask the Sup about this!

Doesn't really matter since they will do the same no matter what color you used. Both are legal they are just using any excuse to make us wait longer.

Hoping the weather remains under control and NVC has a productive week with CC's ! I tried to tell myself I would stay off this forum for awhile (I'm only at day 12) but it seems to bring me joy and hope to see others moving through, knowing one day that'll be our victory as well. Everyone keep your head up.....we WILL get through this!!

Thanks everyone! The silver lining was that I talked to a really nice guy at the NVC, I actually got him twice. The 2nd time i called an hour later and i lied a little hoping i wouldnt sound too desperate by saying that I called an hour before, so i said i called them 2 days ago and got something about signatures, and the rep was like "yaaa that was me and that was today like an hour ago"...ooops. smh. Then I went through the whole speech again and he reminded me that he put it in supervisory review. i thanked him and said that a lot of ppl probably do that so it's likely going to be a long wait regardless, but he said they only refer cases for supervisory review if they believe the person is being honest....so yeah...i dunno...definitely grabbing a pint of mint chocolate chip tonight.

The US embassy in ankara schedules interviews for the following month the first 2 weeks of every month, so theres no hope of an interview by the end of march...at this rate it'll be summer or fall...

My joint sponsor is self emloyed. In the current annual individual income what should we enter? I have seen in VJ forums that the amount from the latest year's tax returns. But he has not filed 2014 taxes yet. So, can we enter the actual income from 2014 and provide a CPA statement with that as a proof?

Hi there,

I have my interview scheduled by the NVC at the 26th of Feb and today I recieved an email from the US Embassy in Paris (Portugal doesn't do immigration interviews anymore) saying the following:

" Register your appointment: If you currently reside in France register your appointment with our new courier service at no additional costby visiting www.usvisa-info.com. **Please note, only the appointment date and time given to you by NVC is valid, please select this date and time only when registering your appointment."

Now, I do not reside in France, do I actually need to register my interview? I tried but they can only accept French adresses as a Courier adress. I'm confused... Anyone had to register their interviews online? I was guessing the NVC had already scheduled it for me.

Just don't want to get to the interview date and nothing is set!.....

I suggest you e-mail the Embassy and ask, it shouldn't take more than a week to get a response from them or call and ask directly. Much luck this can be so confusing.

Just wondering whether cutting the fundings in immigration sector could be the reason behind this backlog? Due to limited funds lesser employees are hired and as a result we are suffering who opt for the legal way.

Blue ink could get you a check list....use BLACK INK.

I am so glad you were able to get her! She is very nice, unlike Ike, the male supervisor in the evenings. I'm hoping I can get her tomorrow when I call, she has been helping me as well.
