Hi there. Thank you for your kind words. His first interview was in January and we are not sure why they gave him AP. we had a medical expedite and we have been together for six years married for one this coming Saturday. That's probably why am feeling so down and after asking him 32 different questions and then repeating some of those questions, they told him he needed to bring in greeting cards with envelopes that I have mailed to him. that was it. But they gave him a second date. We do feel lucky and blessed that we even got a second date but there's still no guarantee.

My nerves are on edge and it is hard to feel confident when I was so confident the first time. Honestly how many people have six years and four visits before they even Marry? If that's not proof of an ongoing relationship I really don't know what is. :(

Lord help me I am trying to be positive

:goofy:Prayers sent. Try to relax, take a hot bath, drink some tea... then make sure you have everything you need for interview. Just curious...How long have you been in AP? Why do you have a second interview?

Oh my dear lady what would I do without you?! You and I have gone through this whole process together from the very beginning. And I am so happy for you. I pray ours as a yes also. It's where it should be right behind you because I've been trailing you this whole time LOL

I truly hope he does rest well before hand I know the stress is starting to get to him too. He's always been so strong but my goodness girl, it's just not always easy. I think I hate that more than anything that he is stressed. ?

I just saw your other post... I had forgotten we even got married on the same day!!! It's so sad that we both will have to spend it apart from our spouses by only a few days. :( But we'll have many, many more anniversaries. You and I have been together every step of the way, so it's definitely your turn now. I feel like everything will go very well and you will reconsider having your husband fly in on the 16th too so we can be POE twins. ;) Kidding, kidding.

This process has stressed me out a lot but really, having been the one that went to the interview, I really feel like being calm and confident (I would love to say I was able to sleep a lot the night before, but that was not the case) was a huge part of that, even though I was a nervous wreck on the inside. I know you must feel like you can't do anything from the US but (after you prepare, prepare, prepare) you can reassure your husband and let him know that everything will be fine. My wife and I are very silly sometimes... when I was freaking out the most she told me to calm down because she went to the future and the interview had gone well. It's really stupid but it made me feel a little better at the time.

We did!

So happy early anniversary to you two as well. He is naturally a very quiet calm person so hopefully that will do him some good. I'm the frantic nut case. It's just hard to not have control of the situation I think that's what it is. Because you have control through the whole thing. when to pay stuff, went to send in paperwork, you assembling everything and then you just have to let go and I find that very difficult. Hubby always tells me let go and let God so it's all I can do.

And I like your little story. Anything to make you laugh and get you through it right?

My brother said to me well they finally let us get married, him and his partner, so let's work on changing the immigration laws now

Don't I wish!

Need prayers today. Feeling extremely down and worried abt second interview coming. Tired of all this stress. Damn you AP!

I just said a prayer for you and your loved one that God grace you with an approval that he not let you suffer the way we are and that he bless you for a life time of happines and peace.

Oh my angel if that's all they asked you for then all will be fine and yes how many can say they have visited so much. I for one only went to Egypt once so far so this is just to make you jump through one more hoop you'll see. And I know exactly how you feel the anguish and feeling of not being able to catch your breath. The inability to sleep or eat from sheer fear. But you have everything this is just they filling their quota of how many people they can stall for a while. Your in my prayers and also of all of those members in this thread and beyond. God bless you.

Our dear Sylvia,

What would we do without your kind words? You're one of us amazing people that I have met through this journey. And although we've only met on here through this forum I know your spirit. We all do. It makes me see what a wonderful person you are. You are in my prayers all the time. My husband pointed out to me this morning that this is our seventh year together and this is his seventh interview. The first ones were for tourist visa. Obviously He got denied each time but we kept trying. Always having faith.

With that said, I hope and pray this is our last interview. I pray that you get out of AP and Natasha and Dutch man. And anyone else going through it.

I just said a prayer for you and your loved one that God grace you with an approval that he not let you suffer the way we are and that he bless you for a life time of happines and peace.

Our dear Sylvia,

What would we do without your kind words? You're one of us amazing people that I have met through this journey. And although we've only met on here through this forum I know your spirit. We all do. It makes me see what a wonderful person you are. You are in my prayers all the time. :(My reply to you just went poof!

Thank you my precious friend for your kind and loving words and I must say I feel the exact same way about you. It doesn't make any difference we all met on the net, after so much time no one can fake who they really are. There must be a few who can, but I know in my heart it isn't so here. As my mother says to me I am only a reflection of you. So I am only a reflection of all of you made better by having known you and all the tremendous people on this thread and others. I know I'm blessed and a better person for having known you all. I love you and all those that have been and are on this thread and yes those of you who don't post much or just come in to read. :)

Now about the number 7, did you know it's very important number? The Seven Sacraments, Seven Gifts of the Holy Ghost, Seven Godly Virtues, Seven Joys, and it goes on and on. So this is a very blessed number and will be for you both on Monday you shall see. :)

Just a thought...we all chose this for ourselves. Maybe we were clueless about how hard it would be because we are in love and see the world through rose colored glasses.I would still make the same choices and marry the same foreigner but I would hope that I would be mentally and physically stronger and more emotionally prepared for the stress that the Immigration system brings. Some people sail thru with no problems from the start and some seem to just be cursed by Murphys Law.

There are so many twists and turns in the process but for most of us the end result will be family re-unification and that is what we are all here fighting for!

If anyone takes anything out of the VJ website I hope that it is to start the process with your eyes wide open and take advantage of every morsel of advice in the guides . Read read and read some more. Continue supporting each other with kindness and information.

I for one need this thread and this website because I would have lost it by now if it had not been for every single one of you .

THANK YOU !!!

I feel the same way and no thank YOU for everything, for being just a down right tremendously wonderful person and always here for advise or just a shoulder to cry on. God bless you and all those who come here for comfort.

I agree that the thread should remain open. It’s a safe place and community for all of us during this trying time.

For more selfish reasons, I don’t think I could face interview day without this thread. A dark cloud of fear has settled over me regarding our impending interview at Cairo (which is still yet to be scheduled). It’s a difficult situation because my husband is usually the person who calms me down and who I share everything with, but I’ve kept my worries to myself because I don’t want to transfer any stress to him (he’s the one interviewing).

God bless us and have mercy on us all. At least the process is temporary, even if it lasts longer than we want it to.

Thank you Sylvia. And yes the number seven means so much. We both said seventh time? This will be blessed. :)

And your mom is a smart lady :)

And dutchmans lady is correct

We did choose this path of all this but only because it was already destined to be. That's what I believe.

Jac

I feel the same way and no thank YOU for everything, for being just a down right tremendously wonderful person and always here for advise or just a shoulder to cry on. God bless you and all those who come here for comfort.
