Hi Soleanta

I have come back onto the thread today to specifically see how your interview went and I am absolutely devastated for you and your husband. I don't think that any negative decisions that VJ'ers have received has affected me as much as yours.

I wholeheartedly agree with Mollie and Juan when they say you have given so much support to so many people around the world and all we wanted was to hear that you and your husband had been successful.

I also concur with Mobar in that you need some space and time right now to really look into the case and see what is the best action you can take to bring this to a positive conclusion.

I can only imagine how sad you must feel right now and how dark each day is. Remember it is darkest before the dawn. I am praying for you from the bottom of my heart.

Stay strong my beautfriend.

Love

Debbie

S&A Hang in there, and best wishes for an ISSUED after interview :energy: Keep us posted!

Thank you so much. :) I actually checked CEAC again about 5 minutes ago and the status is ISSUED now... I suppose I should be hearing from DHL soon. (Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted.)

I understand how lucky I am and I'm sorry that things can vary so much from country to country, it really is very unfair what I keep hearing about AP in certain countries. :( Best of luck with that, I hope you see your ISSUED soon as well.

Hi everyone

Just finished reading all your lovely posts.

For my own two cents worth I know that over my 16 month Visa Journey it was my VJ friends that kept me together on many occasions. Opening up VJ was often the first thing I did in the morning and the last thing I did at night. I felt like you were my only friends who really understood.

I know that I am now here in the US but I firmly believe that for all those coming after me this thread is a lifeline. It should definitely remain open.

Xx

If you have been married 14 years and have 2 kids together that should be really easy. You don't need "logs", they just didn't read your question probably and sent you a stock answer. Easy one are the kids' birth certificates/papers, anything from their school that shows you're a family? Pictures of your family (you must have a lot over 14 years, and with the kids!), then... apartment lease? mortgage? cars? health insurance? life insurance? joint bank accounts? Tickets from any/all holidays and travel together. Anything that has both your names on it is great.

Given that you've been living together for 14 years, you must have a lot of things that many of us don't (thus we have to send in phone logs, emails, etc).

Your sweet words nearly made me cry. You are so giving and loving, I don't understand how such a horrible thing is happening to you.

When you decide what kind of action you and your husband are going to take, of course I and everyone else here would understand not wanting to start this thread anymore. I'm sure someone else might want to start it. You created a wonderful space here for us. If you decide to reapply or even just want to talk about stuff, please don't hesitate to come back here. You created this thread for times exactly like this (and to celebrate good things with people you knew would understand each other). But don't feel pressured of course. You just have to take the time you need.

Aww thank you my sweet heart your to kind, I will start the next thread if it's needed and will try to keep up with for now. Thank you for your kind words and support I will cherish it always. :)

Soloenta, on 24 Feb 2015 - 05:50 AM, said:snapback.png

Thank you my precious friend for your lovely words I'm grateful for you. I know I didn't even think of this I was so worried about AP and I think AP would have been so much better. And I feel really horrible that I have driven away people because one they don't know what to say or how to help me and others maybe don't want this bad luck rubbed off on them. I know it's true I've seen them posting on other threads and thats ok as long as they don't need this thread and I'm keeping them away.

Depending if this thread is still needed I'll repost it next month and if not then this is it. No reason to continue a thread just for me if you know what I mean.

Hey lady....we need YOU and the Rant Thread. I think that people are jut busy trying to make sure they have everything right for thier own interviews. From my perspective...I was devastated for you and also thought...ohhhhhhhhhhh %&$# if this can happen to our wonderful supportive Soloenta it can happen to me or any of us. I actually have a shingles outbreak and am not feeling well so that is my reason for not posting so much at the moment. The stress of immigration processes is so hard on everyone and I am not the best at handling it. My body is rebelling -_- and I can just imagine how you are on the edge yourself.

Please dont stop posting and reaching out...you ARE this thread...we need you and you need us so HA!

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

You have given us sooooooooooooooooooo much please stay and allow us the blessing of being able to support you too .

(L)(F)

Oh my angel I'm so sorry you have shingle I know how horrible they are my brother had them don't wish them even on the Co's. :D Ok I lied. I hope and pray you will feel better very soon and I do understand about getting ready for the interview. I actually don't want anyone wasting their time on VJ or the net if avoidable getting ready is of utmost importance.

No it can't happen to you, thank God your not from a high fraud Arab country. So you'll be just fine and happy very soon and it will make me the happiest person in the world to know that you and the others are out of here and starting your lives in peace. :)

Thank you again my friend.

Soloenta you by no means are keeping any one away from any thing. if they don't want to come here on to this thread because they don't know what to say or feel, then that is on them not you. I read this thread almost every day, I don't post often but I do read it. I love your strength your so strong and you can do this. I know its hard but your faith and love in God and your husband will get you thru.

Thank you precious I appreciate it very much but not sure how strong I am. I will fight as hard as I can that is a given. Thank you my friend, I always appreciate your posts.

Hey, Soloenta. I pretty much agree with what everyone here has already said - you're always in here cheering everyone up and I don't think right now anyone feels like they have anything to complain or rant about given what you're going through. Also, like someone already said, many of us who used to post on this thread have finally gotten through the NVC process and I think it's only normal that posts have died down quite a bit. I remember jcruz, mofatsd and I used to post in here alllll the time when we were getting close to our 60 days from scan date. :) Then after CC I guess a lot of people (including me) moved over to the interview thread. That is not your fault, and you're not driving people away.

Maybe we should propose a change of topic if that makes you feel better? You shouldn't feel like you can't come here with your problems, though. I'm sure someone must have complaints about NVC? I don't have a lot to rant about right now, but I gave my notice at work last Friday and this is my last week. Everything is a little overwhelming.

Thank you my friend and your right there is a time we all have to leave this thread and it's normal. I was just affraid it was because of me and I didn't want that. I know this thread wont see the same people for ever thank God. So please forgive me for having said anything I should have known better. :)

saluting-soldier.gifSoloenta, we are all in this together! Stay stay stay! marching-soldiers.gif Civilians fighting for our rights to have our spouses home!

Today's rant....I emailed embassy yesterday, and to my surprise i got a same day email response! Usually it takes 4 days - a week for a return email. So, i don't know what's going on, maybe they are catching up on their work loads? So, of course by the fast response, I thought maybe it's good news. Oh no, it was their same standard response email....

Dear XXXXXX,

Thank you for contacting the U.S. Embassy, Dhaka.

This is in response to your inquiry of February 24, 2015.

We completely understand your frustration in this regard. Review times vary due to factors beyond our control and we are unable to expedite or speculate about review times. We will contact the applicant as soon as the additional processing is completed. We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter.

We recommend that applicants not make any final departure plans until they have their visas in hand.

We hope the above information is helpful.

Sincerely,

Boy do I feel likeblack-eye.gifsad-face.gif They make us go over all these paperwork hurdlestrack-smiley-emoticon.gif and pay all the fees, and submit all the proofs, and get the medical, and police report, have a successful interview just to end up :clock: waiting and waiting and waiting...?impatient-smiley-emoticon-1.gif This is ridiculous and I'm super sick of it. I want my husband home! big-tears.gif

<_< I don't know if it will help or hurt us, but I also just faxed my legal release to our local Congressman and a 7 page letter with all our info. The assistant assured me that it can't hurt...so I pray to Allah that this is true. Let's see....I'm just so tired with the Embassy I really don't understand :huh2: their taking so long, and I'm super mad :ranting: that they get away with no accountability for their actions, or non-action I should say. I know there are a lot of us in :alien: AP :alien: and I pray for us all, and those who got denials that are unfounded. I pray for true immigration reform.

Even through all this... I still salute our flag...and Always keep Hope!

God Bless America!saluting-the-american-flag-smiley-emoticMay we all get our ISSUEDS soon!

Hahaa you managed to make me smile again thank you for the Emotecons.

Poor baby I'm so sorry they are taking their sweet time but I feel your so close and then all this will be a distant and fading memory you'll see. And I agree it wont hurt to have a Senator or Congress person help you in this, it's your right and yes indeed God bless the good old USA :)

I'm not sure if immigrations reform will help us at all and I'm sure not my husband and I. I think it will only help illegals but I hope I'm mistaken. Hugs.

I don't post a lot here but I agree this thread needs to continue!!!!!

I will be honest, it does feel totally ungrateful and insensitive to rant about my 60 day wait when I see the struggles so many others face in this long immigration battle. I do like to read and pray for the families who are hurting, and chime in when I can. It helps pass the time to join others in the joys and in the pains.

Soloenta you are an angel for your concern for others during such a trying and difficult time. I think people will continue to encourage, rant, and complain on here but the shock of your news has us all feeling a little blue and we want to respect your thread. That is the most important thing at the current moment! In a few days we'll move on to March, and I hope you'll continue this forum :)(L)(L)(L)(L)

So sorry I missed a couple of you going up and down.

No don't feel that way, we all are in various stages of pain or healing so don't feel you can't come here with anything, there is nothing small in this process and everything is magnified.

Thank you for your sweet and kind words and I finally slept last night so I'm a tiny bit better so yes I will continue and I will be truly happy with each step to freedom every one of you make. :) God will help us all. :)

I totally agree with others. I was praying and hoping that our dear Soloenta's husband will get approved. But it seems the journey is still few steps longer. I was soo sad to post anything here or in other threads. I have known you (Soloenta) for just a month and also I know you only virtually but still I can feel your kindness and love and I feel like I know you personally.

It is very hard time for you and your husband but this will be over. You are in my prayers everyday. We will need this thread. You were there for us and it's time we stick with you through your trying times. Also others in the same situation will get courage and strength from this space.

We love you! Sorry for not posting for last few days. God bless you.

Thank you my dear friend and I feel the same way about you. Awww thank you I feel I know you also and the rest of the beautiful people on this thread.

It's ok not to post but I just don't want it to be my fault and I love all of you also. You and the others have kept me afloat and I'm in all of your debt. :) God bless you and your families.

I wish I could like your post a million times, DutchmansLady!!!:content::thumbs:

Soloenta, sweetheart, please don't think you have driven everyone away. Everyone loves you so much, and you should know that! Look how many people came back to check in on you, some even months after they have completed this process. You have made a difference and have touched the hearts of so many people. You are truly a special kind of person, that despite your own heartbreaking setbacks, are still able to support and encourage others, not allowing what has happened to you make you bitter or resentful to those that pass through this nightmare of a process with little difficulties. I think many people are not sure what to say to you right now to comfort you. I think a lot of people's natural instinct is to express their sympathies, then allow you some space to process everything as no one wants to upset you more. I also think this thread has become quiet as of recently due to many people finally getting through the NVC process. I can't speak for everyone else, but I can say, that for me, what has happened to you has impacted me more than you would ever know. Having just received our case complete, I am beside myself with joy, yet at the same time, I can't help but feel wrong for it. How can I be happy and feel relief, when you, my sister, are suffering in such great anguish? This has left me with intangible melancholy.

While it may be quiet now, don't worry, I am sure it won't be long before a new group of frustrated spouses will arrive. Just know, there is no pressure for you to continue this thread if you don't feel up to it. I think we would all understand it you withdrew yourself for a while. To be honest, I am very surprised you are still here and up for this after what you have just been through. Yet another reason you are such an amazing woman! If only I had half of your strength and courage! I don't think I would be strong enough to continue to do what you do if I was in your situation. You are a true inspiration to others! (L)

I agree with everything you say except I'm not so strong I wish I was and I love all of you and rejoice in your happiness. My heart breaks knowing your melancholy you should be thrilled right now knowing you have passed such a huge hurrdle, I don't want to cause anyone pain but I understand what your saying. I love you to and all those in this thread who have been so helpful to so many and to me. Thank you precious for being my friend and understanding me. God bless you and yours.

HI Everybody :ranting: check out my rant....lol i can rant till the cows come home...if allowed hahahhaa i'm soooooo frustrated it's beyond words! And God Bless :goofy: Soloenta, dear I believe this will all work out for you and your hubby! Possibly even faster this way, because a lawyer's involved and appeals processes have actual set times they are held accountable to.... unlike in AP. Inshallah. And I believe it is our RIGHT as a usa.gifCitizen to have our spouses home.

S&A Hang in there, and best wishes for an ISSUED after interview :energy: Keep us posted!

Thank you my love, girl you did it again I laughed feels good to laugh again and yes it is our right adn yesssssssssss you can rant until the Co's grow a conscious. :D

Xx

Awwww thank you my precious friend so good to see you and I'm honored I could be of help and you were always there for me and other's. I'll keep the thread open no worried even if it's quiet can't always be jumping eh. ;) Love you girl, kisses and hugs for the little ones. :)

I emailed ustraveldoc via the U.S embassy in Stockholm, I was just curious what someone like us who has been married for 14 years, 2 kids, had a previous GC, same spouse, work together, always lived together really need to gather in terms of "bonafide marriage". I SWEAR they did not actually read my question, because I got a response of "please bring photos, phone logs, emails" Ehrm, WHAT? I physically speak to him, I don't have "logs". Urgh.

Hahahaa OMG they are so retarded I'm sorry but they continue to amaze me. Proof for these idiots are pictures of the family doing family things, Christmas , working in the garden special moment for you and your husband children those pictures, I would take bills anything your both on. Why? Because they are STUPID you'll be just fine one your not in a high fraud or and Arab country so your'll get your Visa. But take all that just in case.

Let me give you an example, the Co in Cairo saw a million screen shots of Skype and says " what is this I don't see anything here no conversations between you to. My husband said we go to Skype to talk to each other not to type to each other it wouldn't make any sense. I'm sure for this pea brain this was a red flag. Why would we type if we can hear each others voices?

You'll be just fine just take lot's of pictures, bills, bank accounts with both your names. Again just in case they are that stupid that they'll ask you for them.

Thanks, I actually were hoping someone would laugh with me at their stupidity, although I got real irritated too. Actually sent a reply asking if they had actually read my question! While we dont have a joint bank account or a mortage, we do have a rental contract. The rest is on us as individuals. But as you said, and the other lady earlier, some pics should fix that. And I'm fortunate enough to be going to the Stockholm embassy. My issue is a non-issue but it was good to complain at their incompetence...

Oh, ahaha I'm sorry! I thought you were asking for actual advice. If we're going to laugh at incompetence... I emailed NVC a couple of months ago when my I-130 was approved to ask two VERY SPECIFIC questions about Argentine documents and... two months later... they replied... saying...

Thanks again

I text my husband but it's pay as you go and they don't send logs I sent them via e-mail and it didn't show dates, time etc.

The pictures are great we have very few, you can ask your family and friends to write a letters saying they know you both are married have talked on whatsapp like your parents and his (would have to be translated) if hey don't speak English and dated, notorized if you wish but they don't ask for this. I think your good but start doing screen shots now to show something and just explain as you did here. Take everything you can tickets from trips etc, letters, cards everything. :)

To do a screen shot on your keyboard you will find usually nextto Scroll Lock the key with Prt Scrn/Sys Rq click on that bring up Paint click on Paste left hand top of Paint the screen shot will show up. It will look big if you wish you can make it smaller by clicking Resize where you see Horizontal put in 25 or 50% smaller if that is what you wish then click OK , to save Click above save box will open go to save as, go to Jpeg click on then put it in a folder where you will find it even it it's your desktop. You can send then print it out. :D Hope that helped.
