I keep trying to remind myself that if you measure life in paycheques, that's only two paycheques from now. That's no time at all.

Now we're getting down to crunch time and I'm trying to get new things done, like getting my cat revaccinated so he can move with me, but the poor little idiot's nasty ear problems are flaring again so he can't have his jabs until he's feeling better. So many medications to try and get him well enough for his jabs. Also trying to get my hands on old medical records. *sigh*

That is a great way to count the days! I've been trying to avoid calculating the exact days and go by months or weeks (we'll see how long I can hold out). Today I told my husband we're officially over halfway done with February, only 13 days left til March!

I hope your little sweet idiot feels better soon. I affectionately call my pets that too. Sometimes my humans as well!

I'm so nervous only 3 more days for the interview because for me on the West Coast of the US my husbands appointment is the 18 Th of Feb at 9:30 pm, while it's Feb 19 Th at 7:30 am for him. Please everyone keep us in your prayers I'm so nervous, wish I could have been there for him and not just sitting here waiting.

Awww good for you taking your cat with you, you have no idea how people just abandon their pets when they move so proud of you. Hummm did the Vet put your little one on Antibiotics? That should take care of it and something to actually put in the cats ear to make it go away quicker. I have used Hydrogen Peroxide but they don't like it so I have had to wrap them in a huge towel so they didn't kill me. Ask you Vet what he/she thinks. Shhhhh might not like it because your not buying meds from them, we shall see.

Leaving him was never even an option on the table. I WILL be leaving my rats with my flatmates for the remainder of their lives, but that was a decision made because the immigration process has taken so long. Rats, even when looked after very well, typically only live 18 months to 2 years. My little ratlings are just about to turn two. If they are still alive by the time the move comes, then they will be left here for the remainder of their lives because the move would be far too stressful on such elderly animals.

As for Peter Parker's ear, well. He has an internal malformation of the ear canal as well as environmental allergies. What ends up happening is that his ear canal is already very narrow and when he has an allergy flare up, his body becomes inflamed and his ear canal narrows further. The ear canal is meant to have a very specific internal humidity, so when his ear canal gets too narrow, moisture stays in there and he ends up with an infection. So the result is that I have to use a very specific (and expensive) ear cleaner that doesn't have preservatives in and doesn't have anything else he's sensitive to (it's imported from the UK because they don't make it in Canada), put him on a course of steroids and he has to have a massive shot of antibiotics as well. Then I have to feed him good bacteria in the form of probiotics.

It's all very annoying and gets expensive, but I can't bear to see him in pain and half-deaf. I'm just hoping he's well enough to have his shots when we go for his recheck in two weeks.

It's going to go well! It is! You'll be approved! You'll either not get AP at all or AP will be ridiculously short and you'll be reunited soon!

I hope your little sweet idiot feels better soon. I affectionately call my pets that too. Sometimes my humans as well!

Thanks. I can already see an improvement so I'm very hopeful.

Hey everyone.

I was wondering after you submit your paperwork via EP are you supposed to get a confirmation email of somekind? We sent everything in via EP on Feb 4th, but I have got no notifications. I tried calling the NVC but I was get the message "Due to the high call volume we are able to process your call.". I also sent them email but no response.

Confirmation email for EP is taking more time than the confirmation email for normal mail.

14-21 days is normal to get a confirmation.

Hello well if your IR-1 or CR-1 go here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/134-ir-1-cr-1-spouse-visa-case-filing-and-progress-reports/on the top upper right side of the posts it will say "Start New Topic" click on there and for the Emotes go to the first page there are links there just copy and paste but make sure it's for forums it will say above the link you copy and paste.
