Soloenta have you seen this? http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/536174-ny-times-article-about-processing-times-need-info-by-monday/

I think if anyone should share their story, it should be you after everything that's happened.

I was getting confused reading the posts and I asked a question this was the response.

" This is the K1 forum. I-129F petitions get processed at either TSC or CSC.

I-130 petitions, for the CR-1 visa, get processed at TSC, CSC, VSC and NSC - simply because there are more of them.

Us TSC Filers are stuck because Texas has such a backlog. California does not have that. For the I-130s I am not sure, but your story is of course welcome! "

WOW that thread has really exploded..when I saw it yesterday there were only 3 posts so far. Strange that it’s posted in the K1 forum, The delays affect everyone, whether K1 or CR/IR1s.

I think what frustrates me the most is I feel that nobody knows about us. The people going about this the legal way get ignored and the illegals get all the coverage and public attention. I don’t know if the broken system can be fixed, but I would at least like to see the media and government address cases like ours. I would like for the people who go through this after us to not be invisible.

Soloenta, I’m really excited about your upcoming interview. It’s great to see someone coming to the end of this terrible journey and after all you and your husband have been though, I think you both deserve an easy time of it at Cairo. Only two people really committed to each other could make it through all the hardships you have endured during the years of trying to get your husband home. Continuing to think of you guys as the day approaches and will be praying on interview day.

As for me and my husband, We haven’t heard a peep about an interview date yet. I know we haven’t had a case complete for long, but it feels like every day of waiting gets longer and harder. I can’t wait til we get to fill in that date on our timeline.

Same here! I thought it was just me...there's probably a whole medical textbook's worth of side effects of the immigration process. I am jittery every single day. My priority date is next Friday....does it mean anything at all? Urgh I got checklist (stupid me shouldn't have listen to the cop about my police clearance and the birth certificate) and now my scan date is 29/12. It's almost a year and I'm still waiting! It's so annoying when you see ppl got through USCIS with a week and they are still nagging about having to wait for case number and blowing up NVC phone while us who's been waiting like forever trying to get a hold of a human being at the NVC with no luck.

What the heck...I just received an letter in regular post saying that my address/email has been updated. I did NOT update anything...neither did my husband. This letter is on NVC Letter but reflects our Netherlands Embassy has charge ability which we know. I have an apartment in the States as my domicile...why did I get this letter? Does it have anything to do with our file making to the Amsterdam Consulate...it has been in transit since the 3rf of Feb.The letter is dated Jan 16th...we got CC on Jan 14 2015 .

Oh God yes, I can't think of anything else, cleaning has become difficult and staring at the wall has become my pass time and sleep, I don't know what that is anymore but I have had the flu and I did sleep all day yesterday which is not normal for me. I have to check every thing I type and I still make stupid mistakes. No your not the only one. :(t5063.gif

Anybody else stuck at USCIS besides me?

I never heard of AP at USCIS. Especially since we have 2 approved petitions.

Hello lovely to see you here Janelle graphics-welcome-010883.gif To the thread :D.

AP is if not mistaken used when stuck in AP after your interview doesn't matter if they sent your case back to USCIS so you are in AP/Administrative Processing. I'm just praying there is some justice for you and others in AP this is just so unfair and criminal. :(t5063.gif

Yes it has and I'm only guessing they only want to focus on themselves which is ok but it wont help anyone else which I can't blame them for.

I agree but the illegals are very vocal and have some pretty sick people in the Senate and Congress for them and the reason is they think these people will eventually vote for them. The really sad part of this whole thing is what they mean with immigration reform has nothing to do with fixing immigration as we see it but simply legalizing illegals not in fixing the system which we know is causing a lot of pain and agony. Plus I don't think they want to fix immigration I think they like it just the way it is. :(

Awww thank you my precious friend what lovely sentiment and words thank you so much and thank you for your prayers because we will truly need them. May God bless you and your family your just amazing. :)

Now did you call NVC to see if you have an interview yet? Please call I'm sure you will get your interview date soon. Did you know that just a few short months ago maybe three or four it was taking if you were lucky from 6 to 9 months to get an interview date for the Embassy in Egypt? We have come a long way thank Gos in heaven and that was a miracle without question. So take a deep breath call and if they say not yet ask if they have finished giving out interview dates for Cairo, sometimes they do it a little later than other Embassies they are a bit sporadic about it. So don't give up hope. :) I'll be praying on my side. t5063.gif

Priority date usually comes up when if not mistaken they schedule you interview the ones waiting the longest supposedly get first dibs. Only do what immigration/Embassy tells you never anyone else. Ok so is your Police clearance getting close to a year since you got it? If so get another one and you show the new one at the interview that will save you time and money so do it now the rest is fine. Ok so your coming close to your 60 days you should be calling at your 54 Th day, so I would call them in three day that will be your two week mark then if you can take it every day until you get your CC. So just take a deep breath your so very close! :Dt5063.gif

Hahahaa just one boy your lucky hehehee well you can call NVC just to relax but most people just get e-mails but I think I received three the first one was legit I had to change my husband address but the other two were just for the heck of it. I bet they could hire more people if they didn't send those false letters out in postage alone. But call just to make sure that will calm you so you don't worry. :)t5063.gif

Over 2 months in AP..over a year since NOA2 :ranting::protest::crying::clock::cry::diablo::help::bonk::ranting:

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Noooooooooooo they didn't even tell you why your in AP? I'm so very sorry this is what has me on the edge not knowing what's going to happen and the looming fear of AP. This is just so unfair, criminals get better treatment than we do. t5063.gif

:) I'll be praying on my side. t5063.gif

I have called NVC several times in the last couple of weeks trying to find out if they have received our expedite request for the new issue yet. I sent it the first time 12/28 and sent it for the 4th time on 01/30. For some reason, they still have not received our emails at NVCexpedite. Anyway, every time I call, I inquire about Cairo interviews even though we are still impatiently waiting for our CC. Everyone I have talked to said as far as they know, NVC starts scheduling interviews for all consulates the 1st of the month and typically wraps up around the 15th of the month. They never give anything specific about Cairo. It's hard to say what is going on over there, the interview schedule on the embassy website has been down for almost 2 weeks now.

Also, I would like just like to say, the rep Arthur really is terribly rude. I have never wanted to swear at someone so much in my life, like I did with him this morning! Ugh!

Oh sweet heart there must be something you can do did you ask to speak to a Supervisor? Cry if you can they seem to respond to that hahahaaa this is just not right you need this expedite NOW what are they thinking! Call you Senator also it can't hurt tell them your story they should move quickly and if you can to to the office it takes to long if you just e-mail them.

Arthur is notorious for being nasty he's a little SOB, he really need to be fired. Plus don't believe a word they say Cairo as you know does things unlike any other Embassy so just because others start the 1st doesn't mean they will. Have been praying and will continue to pray you get your expedite.

OMG I'm so very sorry this has happened to you, I'll be praying something happens soon in your favor, have you contacted your Senator or Congress person? Not sure they can do anything but it's worth a try. I'm just so shocked and scared this can just happen to anyone.

This probably happens to more people than we think, but no one ever posts about it. I can't find anyone who has had AP with USCIS before. It is quite frustrating.
