thanks,

I think the first couple of days after it is assigned the reps are frozen out of editing your case. That's what I was told so I don't think calling again will help. We still received the e-mails and then the next time we called they always confirm the e-mail addresses they have on file.

my husband and I discussed who should be the agent....we decided me (the beneficiary)....but now I'm thinking, he's the USC and the one paying all the fees....maybe we should have made him our agent. is this a problem that we opted out for no agent?

That's not a problem at all. All the correspondence will come via email. So, an agent is really not needed. Your husband will still be able to pay the fees and help you fill up DS260.

So, this is completely a rant but...does anyone else get upset that the process is so long, partly because there is so much fraud attempts?

I even see people on this very forum (where most of the people are AMAZING and really helpful, thank you so much everyone) who are asking things about getting there somehow (K-1, CR-1) and now no longer being with that person, wanting to keep their GC or do ROC...etc.

Does that piss anyone else off?

I mean if there was less fraud, a lot of people on here would already be with their loved ones. I would be closer to being with my wife (we just started the process), my step-daughter and would get to actually be living there when our child was born (my wife is 3 months pregnant).

Anyway, complete and total rant...mostly because my wife is not feeling well and I wish I was there to help. And she is having a c-section so that has me even more worried.

<End Rant>

Again, thanks everyone for the help.

hey Brent, I hear you totally.

I was stuck at uscis for 10 months because they thought I was fraudulent.....am totally not (montreal did not cancel our K1 visa properly)...heck who would do this for 11 years?? LDR's suck but the love is genuine and we make it work!! Anyways...I totally ignore some posts and threads entirely do to the nature or country of some posts....I realize its not nice of me but I have to to remain sane. it really brings me down when my husband and I are hard working, legit citizens, going about things the right and legal way and others are here to seek info to get ahead and beat the system.

remember there are 2 kinds of people....those good and those bad....we will never escape them. gotta keep your chin up and eyes open and steer clear of them hence I don't offer advice....and since I get bitter when others do, I just stay away. i wish others would too but not everyone is like you and i and can smell a r.a,t, from a distance.

Hey Brentos, I know what you mean. It is really upsetting!! IT is so hard in this long process. I mean I know there are fraudulent cases but uggggh, I have seen people come here and leave after getting GC but it isn't fair to have me wait. Not only is that frustrating but also the time!! I have to admit that because of this enormously long process, I have argued and fought more with my husband because we are so far, it is such a strain to live so far and don't even know when your case will be done! To make is worse, most male applicants from my home country get AP....uggggh

I'm sorry that you are unable to see your wife, especially with a child. That is hard. There are many of us in the same boat, all we can do is support each other because it doesn't seem like it will get any better. It may be hard to deal with the separation but try not to let it out on each other, I have done that out of anger that I cannot control this situation.

Best Wishes!

I don't know... I'm at day 55. I keep checking and still nothing. Now I am starting to worry... I know my AOS is fine, and I triple checked my civil docs against the cover sheet, along with having family members triple check everything for me, but that doesn't mean anything because we all know how often NVC loses docs. Panic mode is setting in! Seeing someone with a 12/30 initial scan date get CC a few days ago makes the anxiety even worse. The trend I have noticed, the closer to the 60 days, the higher the probability of getting a check list. Ugh!

Oh sweet heart I know exactly how you feel the same thing happened to me. People were zipping by with scan dates much after mine and I just don't understand why they would allow someone that has been through so much put into even more despair. They lost my AOS pages and said I didn't send them, they said my parents didn't sign them but they did I stood there and watched then put in the date. God only knows what they're up to. Praying hard this comes to pass for you this week. God bless you my dear friend. t5063.gif

Yeah I know how you feel. Sometimes I want to reply to the people you can tell are not being genuine or frauding and lash out...but I know it is pointless.

Now I'm worried we made a mistake on the I-130 and it will cause problems later...but I guess nothing I can do now. It is like USCIS wants you to fail with how they write some of the questions.

Thanks and good luck!!

Brent

just got our case and iin #'s.

nvc isn't that busy today....3 tries and I got a line, and only 17 minutes on hold.

whipppeeee let's get this baby happening!!!!

humm, now I'm rethinking this....the lady would not take our email addresses..... :(

should I be calling back with hopes the next person will?

Yes indeed keep calling until they take the e-mails also you can e-mail them to them but calling is much faster. :Dt5063.gif

The nicest rep I've ever talked to , Ann I believe, just reviewed my choice of agent form after 3 failed attempts. Solenta you are right, the squeeky wheel does get the oil!!!! It is such a more pleasant experience when you have a friendly rep.

So happy you got a nice one and it helps with our anxiety so much. Hahahaaa yeah sad to say it really does. :Dt5063.gif

That's not a problem at all. All the correspondence will come via email. So, an agent is really not needed. Your husband will still be able to pay the fees and help you fill up DS260.

You are just so precious, thank you so much for being of great help to everyone who needs it. You are just one wonderful human being just like everyone in this thread. :Dt5063.gif

So, this is completely a rant but...does anyone else get upset that the process is so long, partly because there is so much fraud attempts?

First I don't think I recognize you so graphics-welcome-010883.gif the thread!

You bet it pisses me off that these people that are clearly fraud cases make it worse for all of us. But the US government needs to put safeguards (if that is even possible) like you have to be married so long (5 or 10 years hahaa) in the US, if you divorce before that you OUT of the US I think that would make people think long and hard if it's worth it or not and a fine. There is nothing to stop them once in the US so they don't care who they hurt. Just a thought, something has to happen to prevent this.

For your wife and baby, graphics-love-909133.gif I'll be praying all will turn out perfectly and will you be there for the birth I hope?

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH wait and this is the RANT and Support thread so rant away anytime you like. :D

Soloenta!!

Just wanted to say you're on my mind today. Praying the next week flies by for you and ends in a big YES!!

Oh thank you sweet heart what a lovely thing to say and your prayers and those of others is what keeps me going. Thank you so much and know that your in my prayers and hope your case will end in a Visa this week. God bless you. t5063.gif graphics-love-909133.gif

Soloenta thank you for the welcome!

I would like to say that I will be there and I am hoping for some miracle but since we just filed the I-130 that isn't very likely. We are looking at all the options but with how it is we will be lucky if the I-130 is approved before then.

We will look into our options but there isn't much to do.

Thanks,

Soloenta thank you for the welcome!

I would like to say that I will be there and I am hoping for some miracle but since we just filed the I-130 that isn't very likely. We are looking at all the options but with how it is we will be lucky if the I-130 is approved before then.

We will look into our options but there isn't much to do.

Thanks,

Brent

Your very welcome and true but there are miracles and I'm praying your journey will be a smooth one from here on in. t4582.gif
