Hey all,

My visa was approved on Friday, Feb 20th. Just got an e-mail from Loomis with tracking. Will call Loomis in the morning to see if package and passport are ready for pick-up. I need help. Didn't know where else to post and looked all over on the site for some insight...

Tickets to from Montreal to NY are ridiculous right now like $700+ per person. I wanted to get advise on traveling by land for POE. Hubby and I were thinking of renting a car. I have 3 luggages and my husband has 1. Luggages have clothes, personal items like deodorant, perfume, makeup, hair dryer, etc. and a few kitchen items like cutlery set, bowls, cups...Will having these items in our luggage be a problem? I am freaking out right now lol any insight would be highly appreciated! thanks in advance!!!

thats insane! I usually go to Cali for about $500 everytime i go lol.

Head over to the Canada section and ask the question. They will give you the answers about POE by land.

Wasn't this week supposed to be the first week they start scheduling for April? Or is it only the first week of the month?

With how the weather has been since the beginning of the year everything ay NVC has been very behind. Was hoping and still hoping for today start. But probably will be next week.

Hello all Aussies

Just a few questions if anyone can help me please. I'm still waiting on my interview schedule but Im hoping my next week it will be scheduled.

Medicals:

-how much are the medicals?

-I have booked mine for $600 in Western Australia

-I have been fully vaccinated as a child but is there any particular vaccine I need to make sure has been done? Just wondering if I can go to my local GP and get it for cheaper

Interview

-Is the Sydney consulate far from the Sydney airport?

I think that's all for now lol

Thank you in advance.

$600 is about right. Each panel physician can charge whatever they want.

I am assuming you are between 18 and 64 years of age. You must have the TDap and the MMR and can verbally tell the doc you've had chickenpox (or a vaccine). Or, you can present the titers results.

You probably do NOT have to have a flu vaccine - it's usually seasonal, and you are going through the process and will immigrate outside of traditional flu season. Don't be surprised if they require it though. The US has just gone through a very bad flu season this year.

Don't know what is "far" for you - best to buy a train ticket into the city - it's more economical than a taxi.

Hope you hear about your interview soon!

my daughter and i was scheduled for 7:30am appointment... got caught in traffic so were about 15mins late. we went to the front of the line and was sent in immediately (showed apointment letter and passport). We went through metal detectors ... I was given a number and told to sit down and listen for it... I waited about 10-15mins before my number was called... I went to the first window where I handed in our medicals, passport, pictures, my police record and was finger printed. First co asked.....who is my filing for me? What's my current address and my phone number. She told me sit and listen for my name this time. Another 30-40mins my name was callEd. Second co and I greeted each other (nice lady). She swore me in and I was finger printed again. She only asked me three question. have I ever traveled outside of the country? have i ever committed any criminal offence? and if my husband is my child's father. gave me a pamphlet about spousal abuse. Type something in her computer And said you're all good. Did you sign up for dhl? Said yes. Was told my passport would be delivered within a week or two. the whole process went smoothly. Thank god its over. Oh I carried a bunch of evidence to show ongoing relationship wasn't asked for anything.

Thank you to Saylin, DWheels, and Visajourney. My family member's visa was issued on yesterday!! I successfully completed this process with no attorney and no checklist. This was possible because of Visajourney. I have 4 final questions:

When will DHL ship the package?

When my family member enters the U.S. what is in the brown envelope and is it returned to us or does the Border Patrol officer keep the envelope?

My family member is a minor. Can we make arrangements to meet him in the U.S. Customs area of the airport?
