My husbands interview is March 2nd and we received unfortunate news at his medical exam yesterday. His chest x ray was determined "abnormal" at Bumrungrad hospital in Bangkok. "Discreet Linear Opacity" in the upper right apex. Further testing for TB required. 3 days of Sputum tests/ culture. The culture will take 2 months to return and complete. He is in top health, has never had or shown signs of TB or a chest infection. We expect these tests to come back negative but are left unsettled about how this will effect his interview. It is also scary to have an abnormal chest x-ray so leaves you doing a ton of medical lung health research and worried.

We were told by the doctor that he should attend the interview as scheduled. But what happens with the medical papers? Is anything forwarded? Is he supposed to take anything? Will it be brought up at the interview? I then expect us to go into AP processing until the test is completed 45 days later. Does this mean they will give him back his passport at the interview? He has an appointment to receive his results at the hospital. Is he then responsible for forwarding the paperwork to the embassy along with his passport or does the hospital send the results to the embassy? We thought we had this and were heading through so smoothly after we got our interview date and then ran into this bump in the road ~ so thankful I didn't buy those plane tickets a few days ago when I saw a good price!! The results were so unexpected and now we're left feeling confused and needing advice. Hopefully someone out there can be of some assistance. It will very appreciated! (F)

Sorry

My hubby started his TB test on the second and he went for three days and doctor told him he doesn't need to go for the interview and they will inform the embassy and the test takes two months doctor's also said if we call you in ten or twelve days it means you need to come back and you will need to take some further test or maybe a six months off treatment if the restate positive and if we don't contact you withen twelve days it means everything is fine and withen six weeks to two months embassy will call you for the interview its been threeten days we haven't heard from doctors so we are very positive everything is fine

Hello all after confirming CC on the phone last night I was sent a checklist for an Australian police certificate. At the start of the letter it says that it needs to be sent to NVC but at the bottom it says it needs to be taken to the interview. Has anyone else experienced this?

Oyehope, what is your home state?

Hi Sukie ? its WA.

I just got of the phone with NVC and they said that I should not send anything to NVC. I just need to take a AFP certificate to the interview. She repeated that I should definitely NOT send anything to NVC. Thank God!

I wonder when NVC will finally get the Australia police certificate instructions straightened out. It's been over three years since I read of the first problems - I think when Australia centralized the police reports. None of this has been updated in the NVC how-to manual!

Good luck!

Can someone help me understand something please?

I got CC email on 02/12/15 and was hoping to get the P4 email by now. However, I've seen where someone who got their CC email on the same date, already got interview date for early March, as well as persons who got CC after 02/12 and has gotten their Interview date.

My question is: How are the interviews scheduled? Is it by the embassies, or is it by NVC? I'm not quite clear. If I'm to go by what the practice is (scheduling interviews last week of one month, into the second week of the other) it would appear that I may be looking at a late April interview date.

I completely agree with you Sukie. Funny thing is I was planning to take in a new AFP anyway because I have changed my name to my married name since submitting NVC docs (as I want my green card to have my married name on it) so I want to have a new AFP with my new name. And then the original AFP that was sent to NVC. Il hand both to the consulate. Il also be taking my change of name certificate and my new birth certificate with the change of name section on it.

NVC schedules interviews. The issue for you is It's your embassy. which is slow as molasses lately. Do not know what the issue is.If you look at the spreadsheet you will see CC as far back as 12/23 still waiting for Jamaica.

Honestly how Jamaica is scheduling. I would not count on April when December people have not yet be scheduled. Sorry to be barer of bad news. But trying to keep it real.
