I had a fabulous time! Less than a month to go now, woohooo!

I know it's extremely naughty but I booked my flight. Every time I looked they were getting more and more expensive so I took the plunge. I figure if there's an issue at interview I have bigger problems than having a flight booked and I made sure I could change it if needs be.

OOhh SharksBelow how exciting!! it is a little naughty but we did the same thing :) hoping all goes well but as you said the flight we want was getting more expensiveand my husbands (US citizen) fathers health isnt very good and we want to get back as soon as possible so took the chance. when did you book it for ?

Hello everyone!

My wife has interview during first week of march in Mumbai India, I am trying to schedule biometrics appointment on Ustraveldocs.com site, it's very confusing, I created a new profile, and then selected "Schedule Appointment", now while going through the steps I felt that its trying to make an interview appointment not the biometrics. Can someone please walk me through the steps? I would really appreciate your help.

Also, she has an medical appointment next week, do I have to until she completes the medical, I feel that is very short time is left between interview and biometrics/medical.

It looks like that, but it will ask what visa it is. So once you give CR1, it will ask whether you have interview scheduled etc.. and it lets you schedule biometrics. I think its alright, I guess you can get the biometrics and medical done week before. If you have any doubts call the embassy.

I got my medical done in Mumbai at Rele Clinic on Jan 30. I got the results after 2 days. So, just make sure you have enough time to get the results before interview.

Good Luck

My husbands interview is March 2nd and we received unfortunate news at his medical exam yesterday. His chest x ray was determined "abnormal" at Bumrungrad hospital in Bangkok. "Discreet Linear Opacity" in the upper right apex. Further testing for TB required. 3 days of Sputum tests/ culture. The culture will take 2 months to return and complete. He is in top health, has never had or shown signs of TB or a chest infection. We expect these tests to come back negative but are left unsettled about how this will effect his interview. It is also scary to have an abnormal chest x-ray so leaves you doing a ton of medical lung health research and worried.

We were told by the doctor that he should attend the interview as scheduled. But what happens with the medical papers? Is anything forwarded? Is he supposed to take anything? Will it be brought up at the interview? I then expect us to go into AP processing until the test is completed 45 days later. Does this mean they will give him back his passport at the interview? He has an appointment to receive his results at the hospital. Is he then responsible for forwarding the paperwork to the embassy along with his passport or does the hospital send the results to the embassy? We thought we had this and were heading through so smoothly after we got our interview date and then ran into this bump in the road ~ so thankful I didn't buy those plane tickets a few days ago when I saw a good price!! The results were so unexpected and now we're left feeling confused and needing advice. Hopefully someone out there can be of some assistance. It will very appreciated! (F)

Yes. As far as I have seen so far. Only India has advance biometrics at different facility that they have to make appointments. All the rest of us we do at interview time at embassy.
