Hello everyone, we received IL for my wife in Mumbai, however, some of the documents they requested are not even related to our case for instance;

Adoption

Court records

Military records

Petitioner marriage certificate (they are asking for her marriage certificate and my marriage certificate...there is only marriage certificate you get)

Petitioner birth certificate (I thought birth certificate needed for applicant's only)

Is this normal that they ask information randomly? even though it's not relevant, also, what should we do?

Hi Everyone,

I called NVC yesterday and found out we got a case complete (yay!) and an interview date of March 16th. I haven't received the e-mail confirmation yet informing me of the interview date however was informed by NVC staff person that it would be sent out within a week. For those of you who have also had your case complete and received an interview date, is it advisable to begin the process of having my spouse obtain his medical or should we wait till we get the official interview date e-mail?

Thank you.

Have you looked at the letter next to each line and made sure that they are indeed asking for this? What I mean is, all of those things are listed for me too, but because they have "F" next to them which means "F The NVC did not request this form or document", I don't need to bring them.

Just make sure you're checking that part. If you have already checked that, I have no idea. Might have to call NVC or email your embassy.

I am the beneficiary. My husband is the petitioning USC.

My interview review!

Had a 10 am appointment. Got to the embassy little after 9 and was sent in immediately. Waited around an hr for ny number to call. This is where I submitted my medical and outstanding documents and did fingerprints.

Sat and waited for another 45 mins for my name to call for the official interview. Questions asked were:

How long have I known my husband?

What kind of job he does?

How long we married?

Is this mine/ his first marriage?

Do we have kids?

How do we keep our relationship going?

How old is our son?

Where is our son living?

When did we started dating?

She responded saying, we seem to have all your documents so that's it! If u havent registered for dhl plz do so but I have registered already! I was well prepared with all sorts of proof but they asked for nothing. I didnt even know how to express my joy!

Congrats....thats awesome that you were approved...Thanks for sharing this information

Awwww thank you for remembering but I'm so nervous and scared I can't stand it.

I'm so very happy for you, how lovely you will be finally home with your loved one and I'll be praying for a safe flight hahahaa and yes you'll survive the flight just don't try opening any doors unless it says RestROOM! smileys-happy-715315.gif smileys-happy-715315.gif kurby2.gifsmileys-plane-484337.gifskywriter.gif

Hahaha... this is so cute! I'm not a good flyer, I never have been but since having my daughter i'm even worse (as I only ever fly now with her).

I was so nervous for the interview and wondered if I would end up passing out. I suppose it's almost more nerve racking if you're not there and have no control over the situation..... but you deserve some good luck. I will be thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed.

GOT MY P4 EMAIL!!!! Same date - lets sit together!!!!

Cc 4 feb. Omg I'm so thrilled and happy. Will only have to be apart from hubs for 4 weeks.
