I check the embassy interview requirements and it said this - but I have no I have no idea where I misplaced it and now im stressing out. I have copies of it but not the original.

Civil Documents: YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR UNITED STATES VISA without recently issued Guyanese birth certificates and marriage certificates. All such documents should be newly issued or issued within the past two years. Bring photocopies of all original documents submitted. .

a. Original birth certificate(s) for both the petitioner and beneficiary.

Than just get a certified copy of one. You just read this just now. Oh my sorry. Did you check with others from Guyana and see was it ever asked for.

Timeline

Hi! It's been a while since I've been on VJ - sorry, I will update all my info/timeline soon. It's been a weird month, but I have my interview next week (!) and I have a few questions. I'm really sorry if this gets asked a lot, I'm a little lost right now.

Question 1: My case was expedited at the NVC stage and sent to the embassy... I assume this is why I don't have a P4/Interview letter? Is this normal for expedites? What I do have is an email reply from the embassy telling me my interview date (I had emailed them before to ask if they received my case). The email points out that the "only things I'm missing" are previous passports, medical exam results, DHL confirmation and police certificates if I've lived anywhere that's not the US or Argentina (which I haven't). It doesn't go into specifics of what I've already submitted, but I suppose since it says the "only things I'm missing are" it means everything else is good. I'm assuming this email is my P4. I'll check with the embassy, but if any of you have any experience with this I'd really appreciate it.

Question 2: I have read the first post, but I keep hearing so many different things. What do I *actually* need to bring to the interview, aside from "new" stuff (2x2 pictures, passport, medical results and DHL sheet)? Most importantly - do people bring more evidence of the relationship or does the embassy already have it from the USCIS/NVC stage? Are we supposed to bring evidence from the time we sent off the I-130 (a year ago...) until now? I suppose I'll print out pictures/plane tickets. I also of course have scans of everything we've ever submitted to USCIS/NVC but I don't suppose I need to print all of this out? I know better safe than sorry but I would also like to avoid showing up with 500 pieces of paper if possible.

So, the situation is:

- I submitted my documents to NVC before the change, so they have all of my originals + copies

- I have the sealed envelope with my medical results, which I will bring

- I will bring the 2x2 pictures

- I will bring my valid passport and previous passports as requested

- I will bring the DHL confirmation

- My police certificate is not expired

- I suppose I will print out evidence of relationship for this past year? And lots of pictures?

Sorry for the long post, and thank you in advance!

They tell you whether you are approved or not. She wasn't they gave her on the paper. Ask her what the paper said. Something was checked on that yellow paper. Happy to report that I had my IR1 interview today and was approved :dancing: I say interview, it wasn't really, just asked what I do and what my husband does and handed back my civil docs. I was told during our conversation "well, you're approved again, so you're now an LPR again... get citizenship this time". I almost missed the "you're approved part" and almost asked her to repeat it just for it to feel real. Haha. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and everyone was super friendly.

My 5 year old was hiding between my legs during the interview and because she couldn't hear what was being said she was worried it was denied and almost started to cry -- I told her they said yes and she called her dad straight away and then proceeded to run around in circles. :luv:

Have you heard anything from mofatsd?

Many take new evidence to interview (after filing and interview). Many have had visits and such. Many didn't know they were to submit evidence. So know is the time to bring those pics and everything you wanted to proving your bonafide relationship.

You don't have to go to cray cray on the evidence. Most CO's won't pour over too much at interview usually by this point it's too late to prove anything the decision has already been made one way or another.

As far as your interview letter I would email the embassy and ask them to email you so you have it to get in. But probably your embassy just has you on list and you just show ID.
