Sharks,

The big deal is when you submitted your AOS, and how close your sponsor is to the magic line. If your interview is post April 15th, the Consulate MAY ask you to bring a copy of your husband's 2014 tax return with you. If they DON'T ask you to bring a copy, bring it anyway.

For ANY of you who are very close to the poverty line, AND you have an interview after April 15th, be prepared to show that your sponsor (and/or co-sponsor(s)) has crossed the poverty line number for 2014.

Your Embassy/Consulate should not expect you to present a 2014 tax return prior to April 15th. However, as DWheels says (and rightly so), have a copy of your sponsor's 2014 W-2 (or other proof of income) with you at your interview. Better to be safe than sorry.

Sukie in NY

Well, my co-sponsor definitely will have gone many times over the poverty line. I'm not sure about my husband, taking into account that he only earned AU dollars.. *sweating*

I am the beneficiary. My husband is the petitioning USC.

I saw 3 NA's on the tracker 30th of Jan. But had not received any email yet. Since they told me my docs are scheduled to be reviewed 4th of Feb, I waited til then. When I didn't get an email I called them (do I have to say it took me a lot of patience coz I have been on hold for 45mins? Lol). Then the rep said I got cc Feb4 and has an appt to the consular Mar10. The next day, they emailed me my interview letter. Hope we have the same interview date.

Thanks Dwheels! But I'm in the UK not Australia now. Had to change Embassy (4 month wait) can I request an earlier interview in the UK? And how? I'm ready to go. Visa medical on Friday 13th. That's an unlucky date in England!

Oh OK I was going by your FLAG if you changed embassies notify the embassy and request and earlier date UK they are very accommodating. I would email them now.

CC date ~ 1/12/15

P4 Email - 2/04/15

Interview - 3/02/15

Yay! We received notice of our interview on Feb. 4th and it's coming up quick :goofy: March 2nd!!! I wish there were more reviews coming from the Bangkok Consulate ~ I'm not finding any recent info for Jan. and barely any for Dec. Am I looking in the right place for reviews by going to the Thailand portal and reading "consulate reviews" is there any other place to find more feedback? Also, one more question ~ We received the email with the interview date, will something also come in the mail from the Thai Post office? I'm here in Bangkok now with my husband and wondering if we need to wait for a hard copy coming in the mail from the Consulate to schedule his medical or if the email version will be sufficient to schedule? Thanks to everyone especially Dwheels for all the info and guidance! it is much appreciated (F)

That's what I assume when I saw the NA's. I put 1/30 on my timeline. But then the rep told me my case was completed feb4. It confused me but I don't care anymore. I have my cc and interview date and thats all that matters. Lol. If mine was jan29/30 and urs is feb 4, then u should be getting ur p4 couple of days from now.

Some fellow Aussie re here and can better tel you what to expect and the time to Visa in hand. Sukie our Queen well she knows every thing I think she is the Empress of your Country in disguise (we are just borrowing her). :goofy:

Ah...Madam DWheels, I'm no Empress of Oz. Just a Permanent Resident of Oz. I'm the German-born American citizen in my twosome..whose lawyer offered to hire me to help out at her practice!!! If I didn't live two hours from New York City, I think I would have said YES!

I sometimes wonder why, over seven months after POE, I still read this forum every day. Guess I just love being part of all the stories!!!

The consulate reviews yes that's all their is. And some people just don't come back for better for worst and tell their story.

For the Interview letter that's all you get is the P4 email.
