Well, by dwheels76 How to track your case using DHL

1-go to DHl.com

2- tracking by reference

( example your CC on 05 FEB 2014)

3- put; EXP 04 FEB 2014A

4- range between 03 FEb 2014 to 07 FEB2014

5- choose your country

it will show you most details and your tracking number also.

But how did you know your papers were in that shipment. I have a feb 4 cc too.

Good Morning

I have a question if my case was complete on January,30 how do I track it on DHL?

Just because youre case is complete doesn't mean that it is shipped out and you can track it via DHL.... the DHL tracking will only work once you get your interview scheduled (for IR-1 CR-1 casese K-1 is different). Once your interview is scheduled you can call NVC and find out when your case was sent to the consulate and track it using those dates. There are many cases shipped every day so only by knowing the exact date it was sent will you be able to check :) for example I checked for Brazil and there were cases sent on Feb. 3rd and Feb 5th but the only one that could be mine is the one that was sent on Feb 6th as that is the date that my documents left NVC according to their records. You can also check on CEAC and see if your case status changed to "in transit" here https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

It might take a while for them to forward your case to the consulate... I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe call and ask if it doesn't change next week :)

The reason why I asked is because my case was complete January 16 and they gave me my interview date on January 30 for March 26 for what I can see on the spreadsheet only I had cc and interview for the Dominican Republic and I think One Other Girl

That makes sense, but since there are many people who apply for visas who don't use visa journey (as well as other visa types) the only way to know the date your case left NVC is by calling and confirming, or checking the CEAC website visa status. There you will see IN TRANSIT when it is mailed and READY when it is at the consulate ready for your interview. Congrats on your interview I hope that it goes great and you are with your loved one soon!!!!!

Once you know the date it left you can use the DHL tracking here: http://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

You will write

EXP 04 FEB 2015A

(switching out the 04 for the day before NVC sent your case)

choose a date range below (for example feb 1st through today)

and then select your country.... the rest you leave blank. You might have to try a couple of different dates around the date yours was shipped... and then you should see results for your country that might be yours :) It will give you an idea of when your case arrives at the consulate.

I wouldn't worry too much though because there is plenty of time before your interview. Hope this helps.

Thanks abg. One more thing do u no how much it is the DHL's fee? And where and when do you make that payment?

mrs m, the fee is included when you pay your affidavit of support/visa fee. you don't need to pay DHL fee.
