Hi guys, My scan date is 2/10/15. My 2014 tax was not completed when I sent my AOS , but I attached the 2014 W-2 and 2013, 2012 & 2011 tax returns and W-2s . This week I will be doing my 2014 tax so should I send a new AOS document to NVC while waiting my case to reviewed or should my husband take that to the embassy when he goes for the interview? I'm expecting my case to be completed by April 10 and the interview in May so by that time we will be required to complete 2014 tax. I appreciate your opinion on that. Good luck all!

I was told by NVC that I will need an updated one for the interview. So I just waited to save the redoing lol.

you don't have submit a new AOS document to NVC...just take your 2014 tax returns to the interview...that's enough

Does anyone know how long it takes for the 3 n/a's to appear after the review has been completed and the case given CC? Is it immediate or does it appear the next day etc? I considering calling the NVC this evening and wondering if its worth it

I think it takes place ~ a day or 2 days after CC, but I'm not sure.

I would call to find out what date they're working on.

Just got through to an absolute dimwitted cowbag at the NVC who told me my case still hadn't been reviewed and tried to tell me it has been 61 days. I kindly reminded her that there are 31 days in both December and January which would make it 63 days. She then refused outright to tell me which date was being reviewed today and did whatever she could to get me off the phone.

I am so sick of being treated like scum by these people. I really hope she burns her toast in the morning, every morning for the rest of the year :ranting:

I was going to start with an "LOL" but I know it's frustrating. However, if you can't rant here, then where can you really rant to people who understand?? Most of us have been there!!! Hang in there and rant away. God knows I have.

You did the right thing, sorry you talked to a non-friendly worker.

I know some people get that information from NVC on the phone, regarding what day they're working on.

Not a single CC so far today, it's really frustrating.

Phew, finally caught up on all the spreadsheet requests. That only took an hour and a half  And only ended up issuing 3 checklists! :dancing:

i was able to complete ds261 hours after getting my case number....it wasn't available immediately. Once I did I contacted nvc to ensure they had all pertinent info including emails.....but the gal wouldn't take it. Next time I called they told me all my info, so I did not need to verify it or provide it. Mind you, our welcome letter came by email the next day.

I seriously doubt it will take 28 days for you to get your welcome letter...you do live on this planet, right? You will get it very soon....I just blew some nvc magic dust your way :)!!

Sometimes its best not to try to understand the method to the madness but simply go with the flow and be pleasantly surprised.

Maybe they just lie to me. Do you know how long it takes from the day your case number was assigned until you able to fill out DS-261?

correct me someone if I am wrong...

you are not required to have 2014 taxes submitted right now....I believe 2014 tax statements are only necessary after the 2015 April deadline. If it helps your situation then go ahead and submit but if it doesn't, I wouldn't sweat it and instead work with the stuff you already know, like 2013, 2012 and 2011 taxes.

as for what your husband brings with him to the interview he can bring it all but I would suspect that they will only want documents of what was in your AOS package that was submitted.

personally if your financial situation is okay, I wouldn't fuss over the 2014 taxes. why complicate things? if you send in a new AOS package that could put a delay on your scan date.

Maybe they just lie to me. Do you know how long it takes from the day your case number was assigned until you able to fill out DS-261?
