I am ok with safety first also. However I am not ok with when you call the NVC, they automatically tell you they are behind because of the weather. They was already behind before they started closing due to the weather. It seems like they are using every excuse they can find to explain the reason they are behind, instead of doing something about the problem

Totally agree with that. 60 days reviewing time and then checklisting for tiny things that they can correct themselves. And then 60 days wait again!! They are checklisting people twice also. This is just not acceptable. We can do nothing about weather. This is normal that they are closed but when they are open the kind of work they are doing is not good either. So, using weather as an excuse of backlog is not acceptable as well.

I can get myself to live with the 60-day wait, because I know it's almost over after that, but like you said checklisting for small mistakes is not fair. I don't like it.

They insist on working that way, but it's causing a lot of pain for people and they just don't care. I'm telling myself if I see a checklist, I'll find another place to live, I don't want to deal with NVC anymore.

Absolutely. Just praying we all get the CC without any silly checklist.

Scan date 11 Dec, still says PAID. I have now talked myself into us getting either straight out denied or a checklist :( I hope I'm wrong but I have been thinking about my husband's income. We submitted 2013 documents for when he was working on Guam BUT they know he's not working on Guam anymore, they know he's working here and I don't know if they count Australian income :(

If they say no, we are stuffed 'til September when his new job starts. He does have paperwork for that job, but I don't know if it will be enough.

Am I going insane? I feel like I am going crazy and my husband says that I am making up reasons for us to be checklisted/denied. But I feel like it could happen and I am such a mess.

...maybe I should post this in the other thread *blush*

They're talking 60 days in most cases, so I think you're in good shape so far, as long as you sent what they asked for.

Checklist is a concern for everyone, don't think too much about it I think that's the best way to deal with it.

I don't think so. Its really random. I have a dec8 scan date and still waiting and my 60th day is still on the 6th. NVC is really unpredictable, plus the weather issue adds up to the delays. Also, changing of the status is not 100% to happen to everyone.

You should be OK.
