why ? someone already stated that they will open later today. are you staying on hold til they get in? think you will be holding til 3:30pm looks like it. i would hang up and call back but of course since everyone is waiting your wait time will still be long .

Thank you my case still paid but I saw your comment about 3 n/a and we have the same scan date . hopefully this week for me too i feel so tired

Hey does anyone know how extensions work for filing taxes ?Is there a criteria ?and if it can be done does my husvand take the extension letter with my AOS form I sent to NVC with 2013 being the previous year or do I update it with 2014 being the previous year with a estimated amount in there since I wouldn't be filing ?

I'm not sure what the criteria is (look on the IRS website for that), but yes, you can file for one during this process.

You would still leave 2013 as the most recent year on the I-864 forms (you can't put an estimated amount), and then just bring a copy of the extension letter to the interview (if it's after April 15th). Anything before April 15th, and 2014 taxes aren't required.

They always post it late on the website usually a couple of hours after the fact. I am just surprise they did not have it a message on the phone.

yay!! that's what i will do! .. seems easier to me.. i will leave my AOS just the way it is and just add the extension letter with it and send it to my husband for the interview. thanks so much saylin!

It'd also be a good idea if he brought his W2s (and if applicable, any 1099s and such) to the interview, in case they want to look at them. Better to be safe than sorry

with my aos i have past three tax transcripts with 6 months worth of paystubs . do i need to add something else? once its close to the interview i will have 6 months of paystubs starting from the month he is going so lets say his interview is in april i will have 6 months of paystub from april and backwards .

I think you're confusing what I'm telling you. In addition to the extension letter for 2014, also bring your W2s (and anything else you may have received) for 2014. Your past years is fine with just tax transcripts, I was talking about 2014, since you won't have taxes filed.
