Thank you soo much J&Ana ..Just got the AOS cover page..So I will make X for AOS and IV documents..Hope my AOS fee will change into PAID tomorrow..I'm working all days this week..So planning to send it today (FedEx)..

Good Luck

Good but you can also use the AOS cover sheet for your Package IV and send in both package. It takes 60 days for them to review. That will be plenty of time for the IV fees to show, then you can paid that and do the D-260 form while you are waiting for the 60 days

I am on the same step as you .I am sending both my package tomorrow.

Hi guys,

Can someone help me with question regarding i-864? I believe someone in this forum may have same situation as me. So I am the petitioner, I filed my own 1040 but with very little income. So i need to borrow my parent income. My parent file tax return jointly and they claimed me as their dependent on the tax return. We also live in the same address. So I am so confuse now if I need to consider my parent as joint sponsor to have one of them file their own i-864 and another file i-864A OR I need to considered them as my household members and have them both file i-864A? Very appriciated if someone can hep me clarify this. Thanks so much!

Thanks for your quick response Saylin, so how will they count my household member? My i-864 count me and my wife ? my parent count themself with any dependent they have and me and my wife? Do they count we all together and we need the income that qualify for all of us? Edited by quocmy

Your household size will be 2 (you and your spouse), unless YOU have dependents, then it'll be more.

On the joint sponsor's I-864, the household size will be at least 4 (themselves, their spouse, the immigrant, and you [since they claim you as a dependent]). If they have any other dependents, then the household size will be more.

In both packages, I know the most important cover sheet is the one printed out after paying the AOS fee. Do I also need to include the more checklist-style cover sheet that came in the NVC welcome email? The one that has all the different documents listed where you tick off either enclosed, unavailable, or not applicable for each one.

oh. Thanks Saylin,

So that mean they only care if joint sponsor income enouh to cover for the joint sponsor's household size plus the sponsored immigrant. For example in my case, the joint sponsor would need income above $29,812 for 4 people? Again thanks for your help Saylin!

I would use the welcome email one..it's labeled document cover sheet (I think).

That's what I figured. I just wanted to check as the cover sheet I seem to see people talking about more is the other one from paying the fee. I'll include both then. Thanks!

Yea I think because it's sometimes a bit confusing on how to locate it and even knowing that there is one! I must didn't read the wiki clearly I was assuming that the NVC checklist that came in the email was the barcode one lol until someone said something about it ! So I think a few others are just figuring it out as well and welcome!

Yes, the joint sponsor needs to make over the amount on the I-864P for their household size.

i am happy and it's unbelievable..

That means CC ????

Wow! Congratulations. Yes, it is an indication of CC. Confirm by calling NVC on tuesday. Monday may be a holiday for NVC because it is snowing heavily in east cost.

My original scan date is same as yours Dec 30. Hope to hear some good news soon.
