I hate these moving targets!!!! It's so freaking frustrating when they keep on changing things. The CEAC website still says it will take 30 days to review docs, but we all know it takes 60, and now apparently 66. I know it's probably secondary to the snow days and off days that they've had lots of in the past month or so, but it just frustrates the heck out of me. If we were this lackadaisical in my business I would be out of a job in about 30 minutes.

Maybe if they are a little more careful and stop losing everyones documents they would probably be able to go back to 30 days as per CEAC website for reviewing documents. The more checklists they send out it becomes more of an overload for them, because now they have new petitions coming from USCIS combined with all of the checklist documents receiving all at the same time. Hi guys, wondering if it's a false checklist. Our document arrived at NVC on Jan 30 then we received a checklist on Feb 5, asking for pretty much both AOS and IV package (financial evidence/ valid passport/ birth certificate/ marriage certificate/ police record). Sooner we got another confirmation letter, stating the receipte of my document and it takes 60 days for them to review.

Should I prepare another set of doc to send in or just ignore the checklist as I personally assume it's a false one, according to what I've read on VJ so far.

This is so painfully annoying. Thank you for the info.

So what they are saying is within a few months of doubling the review period to 60 days they are now already behind and it is now taking 66 days.

You know more about the visa process than the customer service reps manning the phone. I bet that your case will be adjudicated by next Monday or sooner. Have hope --- you are closer to the finish line than you think!!

Call NVC. It sounds like a false checklist, but the only way to be sure is to call. Then if it is, you can send another package. Always call if you are not sure, because everyone's cases are different.

yes and if they will stop sending a checklist for every little detail. If is something easy that they could fix, then they should correct it.

It seems like their only intention is to checklist people for tiny discrepancies and keep them waiting. For them we are just case numbers, no more than that. They are not interested in giving CC without make us suffer. Otherwise they could have corrected the minor mistakes that are not checklist worthy. After 60 (now 66,wow!) days the generate checklists! What an amazing way of reviewing documents!

We´re still waiting on our new scan date for the AOS checklist sent on Feb. 7th.

Anyone else having problems with NVC receiving documents?

Am a little bit worried that they lost our AOS although the reps at NVC said to me "keep on waiting, we´re behind with scanning, do NOT send it again" but I´ve seen peeps on here who already got their confirmation email.

Unfortunately we do not have any receipt nor tracking information from USPS (my husband was still in shock about checklist and forgot about it).

JUST CONFIRMED ON PHONE. MY CASE IS OFFICIALLY COMPLETED AT NVC. :wow:

:dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing:

Just to share my experience. I was checklisted in October and I sent the response to AOS checklist on 07 November but unfortunately they could not review the response within 60 days. When i called them they were unaware why my docs were not reviewed yet so they forwarded my case for supervisor review. After 90 days of scan date the supervisor reviewed it and sent me exactly the same checklist as first on .

They actually lost my AOS checklist response at mailing department and sent me again the same checklist on 06 Feburary. When i talked to supervisor again and again they forwarded my case for another supervisor review and requested mailing department to pull all of my documents on priority and finally completed my case on 13 February.

I would advice you people to not trust NVC reps on phone and always talk to supervisors if you face any issue specially if you are sure that you something correctly or they lost your valuable documents. Just keep insisting them to review again and again.

Additionally, I was scared that i left all Not Applicable column BLANK on AOS forms and would again get a checklist on that blank spaces like some people here were mentioning. But they did not mind my blank space :dancing: .

Finally i would like to thank Saylin for creating this useful forum and all members for sharing their experiences and making it so helpful for others.

Good Luck and a big hug to others who are in this queue.
