Is this something I can do for my fiancé here, in the States? Or must she do it?

I've read Hank's excellent instructions, but my fiancé and I are still struggling with this. She's found a site where she can print out a hard copy (before paying), whereas I'm looking at this site: http://ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-bpionlinepayment.asp. But I've yet to register there. I has a rotating reference number that changes everytime the user refreshes the page.

Is that link something new?

Hank or others, what's the recommended way to handle this? TIA!

You have the correct link in your other post, from there scroll down and chose the $265 deposit slip.... then click PRINT

That link is for online paying

That must be something new and pretty damn good. My wife had to get her sister to go pay it for her last year because she was working in Hong Kong.

Now if SLEC could only get out of Fred Flintstone mode and learn how to get themselves paid online too.

Glad you found a way to get it paid while your sweetheart was in HK.

Mine didn't feel comfortable with it, for whatever reason. So she's going the old bring receipt in-person route.

I just hope we can get an interview date soon...!

Best wishes to you and your fiancé, A.

Hank, do you not recommend to paying online? What's the downside?

So far, no one has stated if they have had any problems. IMHO I see no downside as it is a secured transaction and you are covered if something does go wrong through your credit card company.

I see this as a win-win for all. If only every step of the visa would take a CC it would help the flow and be safer and less costly.

Hank, do you not recommend to paying online? What's the downside?

I don't recommend one way or the other, I only know of a couple cases over the years where they paid the fee online.

For online you need that generated number. For paying in person you need the deposit slip.
