Question---You answered no and you stopped her on 23 so sort of confessed you did not provide the correct information(don't take me wrong). I have checked yes and my interview is on 1st June and i have been scrambling to collect certified disposition letters from court.--Maybe its a complete waste of time --just my driving history from the state should suffice. Any thoughts?

One more question--were you given multiple choice in the civics test?

Thanks. When she got on question 23, and she asked the question I said: "I would like to make a correction, because I realized after the fact that I had forgotten to add.." and she cut me off and said " speeding tickets?' I said yes and explained the situation.

I am not an expert and maybe every IO is different, but from what I saw on this forum as well as the attitude of my IO today, it seems like they want to make sure that you don't have any outstanding ticket. My thing is just be honest and do the best you can, including your driving record which should show if there is anything not resolved. If they really want they can check it in no time!

She seemed to insist mostly on verifying that I had paid and/or resolve each ticket.

About the civic questions: she said i needed to get 6 out 10 and once she got to the 6th question she stopped because i had gotten all of them right. No multiple choice. she asked a question waited for the answer and moved to the next

Thank you for sharing this information. I do have same situation in traffic tickets. Last one I got in 2008 for which I can obtain the documentation but any tickets prior to that, I have contacted the DMVs and courts but none of them have any records since it has been over 10 years. I have obtained the drivers license record for those state which came out clean. I am planning to mention it during the interview which I am not sure when that will happen :)

That was my attitude going in. She didn't even let me mention the rest, even though i told her that there were at maybe 2 prior to 2008. She kept saying as long as it has been resolved. Also she took note only of that one in 2008 and took my driving record to add in in my file. Only paperwork she took actually. I had brought everything else from the checklist they sent with the interview noticed. But aside from passport, green card and that driving record, she didn't ask or look at anything else

Hi everyone.. I went to my interview today and recommended for approval :) my interview was very short and sweet. My scheduled time was 11 am and i checked in at 10:30. I got called in about 10:40 and was done by 11.. The officer was nice just asked me a few questions about my husband and why he wasnt with me. She swore me in and then she asked me the yes and no questions from application. Then made me read "who lives in the white house" and write "the president lives in the white house".. Then asked me my civic questions.. Which i answered 6 correctly and the only question i remember is "who is in charge of the executive branch".. Then she gave me the paper and told me to wait for the oath taking schedule in the mail.. Good luck to everyone who are still waiting.. Just hang in there :)

Congrats, Catsy.

Hi everyone.. I went to my interview today and recommended for approval :) my interview was very short and sweet. My scheduled time was 11 am and i checked in at 10:30. I got called in about 10:40 and was done by 11.. The officer was nice just asked me a few questions about my husband and why he wasnt with me. She swore me in and then she asked me the yes and no questions from application. Then made me read "who lives in the white house" and write "the president lives in the white house".. Then asked me my civic questions.. Which i answered 6 correctly and the only question i remember is "who is in charge of the executive branch".. Then she gave me the paper and told me to wait for the oath taking schedule in the mail.. Good luck to everyone who are still waiting.. Just hang in there :)

I assume N400 interview. If you file based on 3 years rule you might need to bring tax documents to interview. Otherwise, you might not. Hope it helps.

I was supposed to bring 3 years worth of Tax, brought 4 ( just because), but was not asked a thing! My guess is that it varies per officer and per case, as they already have the tax documents that you sent when you applied. But to be on the safe side, I would bring everything that's on that checklist. Paranoid that I am, I had in my car my whole immigration file and more proof than one could possibly want to see, so in case I met any difficult situation, I'd have been able to just run out to my car and bring any applicable document :)
