That sounds about right, along with any evidence of anything else that might apply (fines over $500 etc)...

Thanks for your reply. Seems so easy to apply for Citizenship since little paperwork is needed.

I think people are just used to all the evidence required for family based visa's/green cards :)

Hi everyone! Would you please add me to the timeline? I just registered but I've been reading the forum a lot and figured it would be useful to add my info here as well. I became a resident on 01/21/2010 and just sent my N-400 today, 02/19 to the Texas address. My field office is in Jacksonville, FL. Fingers crossed!

How long does it take for whole process from start to finish?

As a very rough estimate, I'd say you should expect it to take 6 to 10 months unless you are in one of the faster offices, in which case it should take 4 to 6 months (Columbus is an example).

Some people finish in 3 months, some people finish in 12 months, but that's not the norm.

In rare cases, some people take 1.5 or 2 years to finish.
