Hey,

Seems like it is at your local office, I mean that is what they state! I'm guessing that you might get your interview letter soon, or a RFE, hopefully the former!

Ian

Is that the normal part of the process? It goes from CSC to local office, then what?

Thanks!

Mine was transferred to California on Aug 20th, so I am still waiting, but based off what I went through adjusting my status the first time, get ready for an interview! I think! I am not a lawyer. But I think this is good news, at least it means your case is moving forward!

Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I have applied for the removal of conditions on February 23 (Receipt date) and on August 20 my case was also transferred to CA. I have checked my status again today and it says:

Case Was Received At My Local Office

On September 2, 2015, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number ******, at your local office.

I don't understand why they would send it from CA to my local office? Did it happen to anyone else? Could it be a sign that they want to call us for an interview? Thanks!

I don't know. That is why I am asking the question here. Our evidence was massive, about an inch thick... 150 sheets of paper.

Same thing here. Our lawyer said we have a really strong case.. Hoping to hear something from them soon. So tired of the wait :(

I am pretty sure that when you get a notice for an interview you are not aware if your case is transferred or no. This time you all got notified that your cases were transferred somewhere, to me the fact that your case is in the local office, doesn't necessarily mean you will be getting an interview, because from all the people that I read on here that got called for an interview never received a notice their case is transferred to their local office. I think maybe in they know your local office can handle the petition they will go ahead and send it there. We all know how much work CSC has to do now with two+ months of transferred cases

Plam has nailed it with her explanation.

This is exactly whats up. And plus, they play drinking games and update statuses.

Well hopefully this is a good sign then. Our local office has never looked busy at all whenever we've been over there. It's clean, quiet and not a whole lot going on.

Went to check the processing times on the USCIS website and the CSC no longer says 6 months... it says November 1, 2014... so, I take that to mean I can't get all freaked out and call to check up on my case until they are back up to the February 2015 cases there. I assume this is because they are working to catch up the VSC?

It's hard not to freak when people who applied after you are getting approved and you're still playing the waiting game.
