Hello,

Which receipt number do we use to check our status? With January filers starting to get approved, we are getting closer. I say June is January and July will be February.

1--On one I-797C I received an application number and a receipt number. Which do we use? If you search the number now, what do you see on the USCIS website?

2--At what point does USCIS look at the applications to determine if an RFE is necessary?

Use the receipt number from the bio metrics letter to check your status.

US Citizenship

February 2, 2016 - Package mailed

February 8,2016 - Credit card charged

February 9, 2016 - NOA1

March 1, 2016 - Biometrics Appt

March 29, 2016 - In Line for interview

April 1, 2016 - Interview Scheduled

April 4, 2016 - Interview letter received in the mail

May 10, 2016 - Interview Day! (Approved)

June 8, 2016 - Oath Ceremony

I finally received biometric appointment for 6-09-15.

After waiting for almost 3 months we called USCIS on May 11. Received the NOA with biometric appointment last Friday. Today found another letter from USCIS in the mail. Turned out to be confirmation of "service request" and another biometric appointment. To me looks absolutely the same as the first one - both issued on May 26; the same date, time and place of biometrics; same application number. May be the printer ink is a little brighter :))

I am going to bring both letters to the biometrics for them to decide which of NOA is more original.

Congrats. Good news for those applicants with CSC.

Long road to go for us in VSC.

Nevertheless, this is very good news indeed.

10/15/12 - Sent Concurrent I-130 & I-1485 plus I-765 and I-131
10/23/12 - Received Text and Email Notice that the application was received
10/29/12 - Received Biometrics Appointment
11/03/12 - Received all Receipt Notices in the mail
11/09/12 - Completed Biometrics
12/14/12 - Case Status for all are finally online (Initial Review for I-130, I-765, I-131, Interview & Testing for I-485)
01/07/13 - Received EAD/AP Combo Card
02/23/13 - Received Request for Initial Interview scheduled for March 28, 2013

03/28/13 - Interview
04/05/13 - Received I-485 Approval Notice
04/08/13 - Received Permanent Resident Card

02/02/15 - Received Receipt Notice
