Hi guys so just this Thursday I got my medical done and Friday I went to SLEC to get the results I was very happy that I passed!!! Yahoo!!! Thanks be to God!! Anyway, I am a military wife and my husband is planning to go with me during the interview which is soon. He got 7 days left work leave and he's gonna use all of that! Do you guys think I'm gonna have my visa on hand if he's coming a day before my interview? Is there anything we could do to get my visa quickly? Do we have an option to pick it up instead of using a courier service? We have a limited time to spend to where he is stationed right now so we want to both be in GUAM as soon so he could in process me and basically getting me and him a free plane ticket to go to our next base in East Coast! No one wants to spend thousands of dollars where you can get it free. Please help!!!

They don't hand out the visa same day as interview. There's no such thing.

You can have the option to pick it up at a 2GO branch of your choice or have it delivered to your home.

Waiting time for the visa is within 7-10 business days after your CEAC status says "issued". Longer if they put you in AP.

Good luck!

As already stated, embassy doesn't hand out the visas at the embassy. Absolute quickest way to get the visa is having it delivered to MOA after it is issued. But even waiting for it to be issued normally takes a week or more.

I don't think you are going to have your visa within that week. If he is here over a weekend that is dead time for visa processing. For example, if your interview is a Thursday, then Saturday and Sunday the USEM isn't working, but your fiancé is using up leave days. If your interview is on a Monday, then you will at least see 4-5 workdays out of the USEM before the weekend, giving you a slight chance to receive it. But honestly from everything I have read here in VJ it is better to think in terms of 2-3 weeks to receive K1 visa. We are currently on our 9th business day waiting to receive our visa and our status is AP. We hope soon that will change to issued.

Do you have children? We noticed at the USEM that those with children get ushered to the CO line ahead of everyone else without children and they are interviewed while people that dont bring children to the USEM take a seat and wait. If you do have children then maybe your visa folder will be one of the first to head in the direction of the visa making machine.
