Hi everyone, I have a question about the embassy in Kiev...

Does anyone have experience with using an I-134 co-sponsor at this particular embassy? I recently read that the interviewer may or may not accept a co-sponsor's documents when deciding whether the US citizen can support his/her fiance(e).

I thought that since my income is barely at the 100% level, I would be okay in the eyes of the embassy if I had a co-sponsor. Is this true? Has anyone been denied a visa at this stage for having insufficient income? And what about tax returns? The person I spoke to in Washington, D.C. said only one year is needed, but I've also heard that 3 years are requested.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Look at P3/P4 packets available from the Kiev website, it will tell you most everything they want to see. And yes if your income is not sufficient in the eyes of the CO they will deny. The instructions only ask for the most recent tax information.
