Hello everyone,

I have a quick question. I send out the I-129f last week on friday and received the NOA1 yesterday. What do I have to do next? I believe I have to fill out the affidavit but do I have to send that form to UCIS or do I have to send it to my fiancé?

Thank you so much in advance!

I am very stressed because I do not want to do anything wrong or miss a step of the process!

Thanks again

Kelly

:guides: they are your friend! Particularly the K1 flow chart as this will give you a good overview of the process in helpful steps.

If you are at TSC unfortunately you have quite a wait ahead of you until your NOA2. Upon receipt of the NOA2 you and your fiance can start gathering documents for the interview, such as ordering police certificates, divorce decrees if applicable, booking their medical and completing the affidavit of support. This stuff is taken to the interview at the local embassy so yes, you will need to send the affidavit of support to your fiance.

Thank you so much for your reply! You were very helpful!! So I don't have to send the affidavit to any office here in the states just to my fiancee? Someone I know told me that they had to send it to an UCIS here in the states but I have not seen or read that online.

Thanks again for all your help!

USCIS does not process and issue visas. That is the Dept. of State. The approved I-129F petition will allow your foreign fiance(e) to apply at the US consulate in Italy for a K-1 visa. http://italy.usembassy.gov/visa/iv/application.html

Correct, you send it to your fiance, and they take it to their interview :)
