I-797 Approval notice for EAD/AP

Since USCIS online status said they received our RFE for I-485 initial evidence June 1st there has been nothing further on the site.

However this morning in the mail we received Approval notice for EAD/AP notice. Wow!!

So now awaiting actual card, so we can get local ID, SSN, possible tax refund and yeah book flights for travel back home.

Feeling excited?

We got an email today saying their was recent processing on our file. I got excited thinking maybe we got an interview scheduled or even the green card being processed. It was just telling us that the card for the work visa was mailed. We got that almost 3 months ago, why get another update now? Anyone have this happen before?

This happened to me last week, got notification saying they mailed my green card when I've already have had that baby in my possession for almost 2 months. Not sure what's up with that

Okay I had not been looking at this topic and now you guys are scaring me a lot.

I sent my AOS package in Feb, got the Biometrics and received my EAD/AP combo card. I've got a job now, and I've traveled on my AP no problem.

However, I see you guys all got a letter to schedule your interviews and what not. I got none of that. On USCIS case status is still only states "fingerprint fee received".

Should I freak out? Should I call them and file an enquiry? Is anyone else in the same situation as me?

@justxcookiessame boat as you.

Package sent feb. biometrics done. EAD/AP received after 68d.

Still says pending. Our field office is NYC and they have a serious backlog. Who knows.

So happy to see someone in almost the same situation as me.

Just to make me an ####### about posting this here, USCIS sent me a letter yesterday about possible interview waiver case and that my green card should be processed in about 6 months (with them that could mean anything but hey).

I'm sure you should hear soon too then!! *fingers crossed*

Now both the EAD/AP says case approved on the site.
