My question is, any idea how long it will take them to review my response to the RFE? Because i did not reapply for EAD since the interview date was so close.

Hi guys. Fellow February filer here. I'm just curious since I've been following this thread and see people have already have interviews. What makes some cases faster than others? Is it the speed of the field office where the interview is held? My husband's status is still on "Fingerprint fee was received." I've read this is normal but why are some cases moving so quickly?

Thanks!

Our interview is on Thursday morning in Atlanta GA. We had our NOA feb 26th. I've noticed that lots of other people filing in GA have had theirs done and dusted within 4 or 5 months also. Coincidentally A guy at our local publix store had recently had his interview and he said they said the same thing we've been suspecting! Noone wants to live in Georgia so the field office is less busy haha! If you're in New York, Cali or Texas it's going to take longer because of the sheer volume of applicants in those areas! Less popular states will take less time! In my case, I got lucky that my husband happens to live in the middle of nowhere so ours is going quickly!

I'll let you all know how the interview goes! Fingers crossed and happy thoughts my way please!!!!

Good luck to anyone else having interviews soon!!

Hello All,

on the interview front, what I'm noticing is alot of people seem to be getting their interviews pretty soon, even in California and New York field offices. Much sooner than the last posted filing date on the field office websites. According to California field offices, they are still working on cases from back in August 2014 but people who filed in January/February have got their interview dates approaching. I wonder what causes this.

I'm eagerly awaiting mine. So excited. Good luck to each and every one of you!

Approved today! We filed in California and ours apparently has gone by pretty fast.

Despite the crazy bomb scare / evacuation I described, apparently we gave the interviewer enough info to get an approval (I was worried about RFE since we didn't even have a chance to talk about any of our "supporting evidence of relationship" documents but apparently we included enough!).

I would guess for interview your local field office would matter too (like down to the city), since they would have to have an actual interview slot available. I am a little surprised it went by so fast in Los Angeles!

Hi guys, sorry to bother again, but I am a bit confused even though I got really good news...here is what my status says now:

"Welcome Notice Was Mailed

On May 27, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by July 26, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

It is awesome that I am officially a permanent resident and I am very, very grateful for living with my beautiful wife in this beautiful country, I am however very curious to hear what you guys think about the arrival date ? July 26th is that realistic ? It seems most people, once approved get the card within a week or so...any ideas ?

Good luck to all of you !!!!! :-)

Hi everyone,

I have a question about my case. I'm an early February aos filer. My NOA date is February 3, 2015.There is still no interview date.I got asked for rfe and I sent it as soon as possible.I got my ead card right after they've received my rfe.

Since that day my status's never changed. It says " On March 16, 2015, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXX. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you.You should receive a decision or case update by May 15, 2015, unless fingerprinting or an interview are needed. "

Should I call them or keep waiting?

Thank you.

So we had our interview this morning in Atlanta and we were approved on the spot! Yay!

Our only potential sticking point was that because we decided to adjust status whilst I was here on a visa waiver program, we haven't actually got any joint bills etc as technically my life is still in the UK! luckily she could see we were a genuine couple from the rest of or evidence and just by talking to us so she approved us. She did say that at the renewal after the 2 year conditional green card runs out, we'll need to be showing them joint bank account statements, joint car and mortgage loan paperwork etc to prove our established relationship!!

Our appointment was supposed to be at 8:30am but we didn't get seen until at least 9:45.

The appointment was only 15 mins or so.

Formal but friendly!

NOA date - 26th feb

AOS approved - 28th may

A big congratulations to everyone who's had interviews and gotten their GCs. It's wonderful that you're done until ROC. I've been reading up on the Potential Interview Waivers thread and that's scary concept. There are people who have been waiting for their GC since last May but recently there have been a number of approvals of those. Has anyone else been reading that thread? Any thoughts on that except a.) I sure hope they keep approving people and b.) I sure hope I get an interview and not a waiver.
